Go back and read post 21. I have never had an issue with getting in/out of a car other than a Triumph GT6 and this one. You just answered the question to the problem. Your seat is more forward than mine. Not all 6’+ people are built the same. I have a 36- 37” inseam. If I move my sear forward...
It’s the forward swooping lower part of the b pillar that’s the problem, not its general location. Take away the forward swoop of the lower third if it and the problem mostly goes away.
I tried all of the tricks listed and this is the one that works for me. A little counterintuitive, maybe. I now have seat position 3 programmed to do this plus lift the steering wheel upward, inward, and out of the way. Will help a lot.
Having said that, a different B Pillar design would...
Back is fine. My problem is basically, I am very long and lanky. Never had any issues in my 991.2 GTS, but then it had a ‘normal’ B-Pillar.
And I do yoga, but with my particular frame, yoga is of no use for this car. I’ll try some of the other suggestions that have been offered, thanks guys.
Not a bad idea, but when I am crawling out of the car I work my way to the left side of the seat and am sitting on the raised bolster before I actually get out. That’s what causes the slight wear I am seeing. Sometimes being tall is handicapping.
Have had my Turbo for over 3 months and about 2,000 miles. Absolutely love the car. Not much I don’t like. It is gorgeous, handles like a dream, I get thumbs up’s daily and have spent hours showing the car to strangers who just love it. I like the electronics, it has reasonable range, and OMG...
It depends:
if you are on a 2 or 3 year lease let it rip, charge to whatever you want
if you intend to keep the car for a longer term then stick with 85% or even a little lower if your driving habits can tolerate lower
I traded a MS LR for the Taycan, and the Tesla was almost exclusively...
**UPDATE**
part arrived as promised on Tuesday and the Tech started working on the car immediately, and was finished this afternoon. He said he’s leaving it on the charger all night for testing and I should be able to pick the car up in the morning. Also said Porsche is going after EA on this...
Agree, but I’m staying away from EA for now since I don’t have to use them. Hopefully one day they will earn my trust and I will feel reasonably confident I can complete an occasional long distance trip. Right now that confidence level is around zero.
And there’s a lesson learned from this incident. I have a solar panel system on my roof and as it turns out it overproduces versus the original design spec. I am on a net metering contract with my service provider. The system went into service last November and we are about 2 weeks shy of the...
Another update. A text from the Tech and a phone message from the Service Manager both said the parts are in the US and have passed through Customs. That is very prompt in my opinion. FedEx is scheduled to deliver the parts Tuesday.
found out today when you call roadside assistance you are...
Update...received a text from the Tech who has been assigned to my car. He said parts are coming from Germany and the eta is Monday, 11/9. That’s good service and a lot faster than I was expecting.
Yesterday I did about a 60 mile trip to a nearby city in my Turbo. Trip went well and the car formed flawlessly on the trip there. On the way home I was going to drive by an EA charging point so decided to use one of their 350 kW chargers at that location and get 30 minutes of free juice...
