Interesting - also in respect the potentially less structurally 'robust' nature of the extruded module enclosures relative to other competitor designs he mentioned which can supposedly take more abuse (but likely also weigh more?). I'd have to assume though that the crash testing of the Taycan...
Great info and thx for sharing.
One question, as I had suggested this prev to another user some time back - can you not stop PCM/Porsche Nav. interruptions to it's trip planning by simply turning off the 'automatic' (map) updates in settings for the duration of said trip?
So first use of 'send to car' was a 100% success in respect the car received it in less than 5 mins.
Now admittedly I had not tried this with the Porsche app in quite a while (nor have I tried to replicate with it as yet), so perhaps Porsche had improved this (my prev usage had a massive delay...
Man, if you can crack the 'code' to have this capability be 'real-time' vs the truly dismal (imo) Porsche app/web site implementation, that would be HUGE to me.
I've basically given up on the Porsche send to vehicle as it is SO inconsistent and invariably takes hours to show up in the PCM...
Crap - that sucks - has me re-thinking Stek or similar of the Pano roof again! I assume that in this case it means using insurance coverage/deductible too!
I'm back and will be catch up on all the new data added here in next few days. Thx for the update .
TBH, not sure what the heck to make of your data :)!! I too have a hard time believing these numbers but I'd suggest it's not the OBDII thats at fault here i.e. its just a 'dumb' tool that...
My first State Inspection is up this Dec and was curious as to where you (if applicable) brought your car to be inspected. It should of course ONLY require the Safety Inspection i.e. obviously not an emissions vehicle so technically it should cast about $7 as the other $18 for ICE cars is for...
+\- 1% or even 2% variations for a host of reasons in SoH readings is entirely normal - have a look a the baseline SoH thread for a ton of info on this.
Sorry just now getting back to some semblance of normal re routine and seeing this late - I meat the entire lower central computer/electronics unit + front facing screen (not the dash units) - while thing was replaced.
Just a quick update as I know i've been totally unresponsive - I am essentially offline in the forum as out of country and deep into a project I am on that doesn't allow for much of any other activity!! My apologies but will def do a full update asap but not before another week plus. Please...
@MurfPT @DougFrisk - great stuff - lagging a bit behind re chart updates but will get yours and prior few uploaded tomorrow - thx all for your patience.
I'm guessing by turning off automatic updates? If just for specific trips where you do not want interruptions - turn it back to auto to ensure on other occasions you car is fully updated in background.
Thx all for the continuing updates - still under heavy work load so apologies, responses slow but will def get the charts updated asap - some very interesting results/data!
Wow - amazing - I think!! :)
So first up, as noted in Post #1 in the thread, there is a solid body of evidence to support the actual usable KWh as 86.7 and not the 83.4 advertised by Porsche. This is exactly what my data support too.
So the value output for your 'rebuild' by CarScanner as 87...
I actually calculated this based off the entire data history of my car (incl total AC charge put in etc) and came up with close to 20% losses which seems really high but the data appear to suggest so - but of course lot of variables involved!
See example here (2nd para below chart):
