The only thing that came to mind for me was that they have an external limiting factor, such as a specific component necessary for the electronic steering column that is in short supply. My SA vaguely agreed with this theory, but I don't know if they were just humoring me.
Nobody ever accused me of having much in the way of business acumen, but that sounds like being handed a bag of lemons and choosing to make compost instead of lemonade.
If the charger is a sunk cost to me, the dealer, I would much rather have it being used, thereby delivering great marketing...
I'm not sure (a) whether this is still available or (b) whether you would consider the associated cost to be reasonable or not, but I believe this at least some point was something that could be remedied after the fact...
As far as I can tell, a single individual is the primary shareholder of the Infiniti dealerships in both Bellevue and Kirkland. It does not appear that they're affiliated with a national chain.
Thank you for the kind words. I am not a huge fan of that "facelift" word, but it seems to be conventionally accepted. I consider it a redesign, albeit probably relatively minor in the context of such things. In any event, it wasn't intended to be specifically about cosmetics.
I've basically...
I agree with your larger point about expectations for depreciation and residual value, but I'd like to push back a bit here.
It's been decades since I studied economics, but (at that point, at least), there was no intuitively-defined unit to measure utility - how much enjoyment somebody gets...
Art and color are clearly super-subjective (says the person waiting to take delivery of a violet car). The only other one in your link that I'd previously seen is the Wotherspoon, and it's probably my least favorite of the lot. The story of the Joplin car is worthy of a movie; thanks for the link.
I have no idea whether the UC Riverside researcher cited in that WaPo piece is in fact a fossil fuel sockpuppet, but just wanted to point out that such a species does exist.
I need to get one of those "DYSLEXICS UNTIE!" T-shirts.
Thanks for your effort, whether you are the author or just somebody who bothered to actually point it out to them constructively instead of just kvetching like me.
My mother is very susceptible to motion sickness, but she discovered that it is much worse when she is facing backwards from the direction of travel. When she told the doctor this, she was informed that there is a theory that it is the mismatch between senses that is perceived as nauseating...
They are on my shortlist as well (along with Golden State Auto Salon in San Mateo). So far, the responsiveness over email has been phenomenal, including bothering to respond to my initial inquiry at something like 2100 on a random weeknight within 30 minutes, and not just with robogenerated...
I have no direct experience (currently scheduled for December delivery), but I came across enough concern about wear on the standard vinyl in other threads here that I chose to spec Race-Tex covering for them.
