I think the ESS comes standard with the higher trim models. In my MY25 ST I just have the standard sound option. You can hear it in- and outside (at low speeds), but it's limited and more of use for pedestrians . Did a testdrive with the ESS option, think it's ‘funny', but wasn't willing to pay...
Drove back from Italy last week, with the same issue. Navigating worked out fine without the actual updates.
the battery preconditioning wasn’t an issue. Just drove to about 12% SoC pulled easily 315Kwh, without preconditioning. Would say don’t worry.
note: since last Sunday the data...
Visited the Porsche service center this morning. They ran diagnostics, and as expected, no issues were found. They also did a reset of the COM module, but it didn’t make any difference. Although they couldn’t find anything, it’s becoming more obvious that the issue is on the Porsche central...
received an update from the Porsche Connect technical supportteam this morning. The need more time because of the ‘high complexity’ of the problem.
Will visit the service centre tomorrow, hopefully they can run some diagnostics to find the problem.
Untill last monday the app and climate functionalities worked great. Since then, the app can’t connect to the Taycan anymore. Raised a ticket with Porsche connect and they are checking the central server environment. Happened to me last January, just shortly after delivery. Also planning a visit...
Don’t think it’s an app issue. Did a reinstall twice, but didn’t solve the problem. App doesn’t get update, it still thinks that I’m enjoying my skiing trip in Italy ?
Indeed the car has full LTE and also wifi connectivity (at home). As PCM apps like spotify and internet radio run via the Porsche central services, these are also not working.
After experiencing this issue last month and having it resolved a week later, the problem has reappeared this week. The app can no longer access the car. It seems that the connection from the Taycan to the central Porsche servers is offline again, as I don’t have any data connection (in the car)...
In general, I’m not a big fan of all-season tires. If temperatures drop below 8 degrees Celsius, regular winter tires are the best choice. I’m driving on winter tires mounted on 20” Turbo Aero wheels, and the driving conditions are quite good. I use 20” wheels in winter to protect my 21” Spyder...
The ‘free’ connectivity services from Tesla only covers traffic information and basic remote control functions. If you want more like satellite maps, speed limits, etc. you need the Tesla Connectivity Services, which comes with a price of 120 euro’s per year.
Last week, I reversed parked on a pitch-dark street with no streetlights. The parking was more or less an educated guess, aligning my car with the one next to me. I think the camera doesn’t have enough light to assist with the parking. As a former Tesla Model S driver, I’m familiar with this...
The problem was resolved this evening. I visited the dealer this afternoon, but the product specialist didn’t have an answer either. We performed a factory reset, which (of course) made things worse, as I couldn’t log in anymore. I drove home in guest mode, and the dealer promised to contact...
Assuming (fingers crossed) there are no hardware or software issues in a two-week-old car, the problem could be related to connectivity with the Porsche backend servers. This is quite a complex setup, as an outage could result in a significant number of dissatisfied customers
