That’s the problem with that stalk, you don’t even realize you touched it. Happened to me a couple times and the first one freaked me out, entering a highway with trucks flying at 70mph and my Turbo GT maxed out at 30.

You probably tripped a cruise control stalk on the left side of the steering wheel. That stalk has a very unfortunate location and is very easy to trip accidentally and when you did, you were probably doing about 30mph which became your “cruise speed “.
