  1. Due to test drive Turbo S at Silverstone… TTS arrives in Feb.

I’ve got one on order… I’ve only test driven the base Taycan. I’m actually worried I’m going to drive it and regret having not gone for a 4S / turbo. Any TTS owners here that can reassure me that I haven’t lost my damn mind and it’s not going to be terrifying as a daily driver ??
  2. UK: When did you order and when did (or will) your car arrive?

September, build in January arriving mid Feb! TTS.
  3. New Turbo S order going in today - photos / spec list

I think so… just felt it looked a bit tacky in the end. thanks Winge, I will go back and reread. I think I’m going to keep W carbon fibre trim externally and aluminium rhombus on the inside.
  4. New Turbo S order going in today - photos / spec list

Ah ok, i'm UK based and a bit embarassed to say that I know practically nothing about the charging aspects of the car... figure i'll just pick it up as I go. I'll speak to my dealer though. I'm still unsure about the carbon fibre... not sure if it'll break it up a bit or distract from the lines...
  5. Average household income really $900k?

A Taycan Turbo S costs $25-30k a year to lease in the UK with no BIK… certainly don’t need to earn anything near those figures to be in possession of such a fine car!
  6. New Turbo S order going in today - photos / spec list

Made a few mods to my order based on advice from the dealer and the forum: - Removed chrome window trim - Removed model designation on doors - Left the carbon fiber trim on the car (I'm still not sure about this but have been assured this is the best option!) - Deep pile floor mats - Privacy...
  7. What’s the general consensus on having the model designation on the doors?

you’d think so. America - yes, England - debatable.
  8. What’s the general consensus on having the model designation on the doors?

I agree with this mentality; if the potential client likes you, they'll be interested in the car / respect you for achieving the means to purchase whereas if they don't like you, they'll just hate you even more after seeing the car... but you were never going to get the business anyway by that...
  9. What’s the general consensus on having the model designation on the doors?

That looks awesome - I was quite surprised to hear you get a lot of attention from the car; I thought it was quite low key until I was driving back from London today and saw a few on the road, they are quite uniquely imposing vehicles.
  10. What’s the general consensus on having the model designation on the doors?

love that colour… I’m trying to keep it a bit low key as it’s a daily driver and I’ll be meeting clients etc. Played a part in choosing black on black. If I didn’t have to worry about the green eyed monster I’d have gone dolomite or ice grey I think.
  11. What’s the general consensus on having the model designation on the doors?

Yeaaaaah I think I’m going to deselect this option ?
  12. What’s the general consensus on having the model designation on the doors?

I’m a bit torn on this - I like it but I’m worried it’s a bit showy / crass for such a beautiful car. Have many here gone for this option or is it a bit of a no? My order has gone in based on the below config but I’m a way off the freeze date:
  13. Poll: What is your age?

35, turbo s on the way. Pray for me.
  14. Color drama! What to chose?

I’m going full black on black turbo s. Unfortunately I’ve not retired just yet and have to park at clients houses in the UK. Not sure how most of them would get on with mamba / white / ice which would have been my colours of choice otherwise.
  15. Is Taycan Turbo S too much as a daily driver

Good question, I’ve got one on the way and I’ve only driven the base level Taycan lol… was wondering what I was in for.
  16. New Turbo S order going in today - photos / spec list

Finally finished… they can’t do the model designation in silver which I find odd but hell, she’s a beauty IMO http://www.porsche-code.com/PNLS1GL8
  17. Which option did you have the hardest time reaching a decision?

I agonised over chrome window trim vs black… final config: http://www.porsche-code.com/PNLS1GL8
  18. New Turbo S order going in today - photos / spec list

Thanks W1NGE, very decent of you to type all of that information across to me. Really helpful Thanks for the information / advice - I’m using this as my daily driver and meeting clients, some of whom might get a bit tetchy with a Porsche on their driveway at the best of times, trying to keep...
