Another comment: I get comments from every sociodemographic. Aged hippies, hoonigans, young women, gear heads, truck drivers. Always positive. :)
Another glamour shot:
If you're interested you can check out a recent report of my first full-on Winter with my 2021 Taycan 4S.
Drove it in Edmonton in January. It was -34 C for a lot of the time. The Taycan was AWESOME.
Here's the link...
+1 for the choice, I really like it.
It actually looks almost like a matte version of my Taycan 4S with factory cherry red metallic -- but without the metallic!
Eye catching for sure!
I know I'm a bit shallow but I really do enjoy the looks I get in the Taycan.
The Tesla Model 3 looks like an anonymous grey 4-door urban sedan with no sex appeal. Even though it's a 'sleeper' with the 460hp+ software bump that I paid for.
I am a shallow person. I know.
But I'll let you know...
From the OP: Wow, didn't think I'd get 6 pages of responses! Thanks everyone for your input.
Upon reflection, here's some further notes:
TAYCAN
1. Contrary to others' posts (and I really feel for you guys) I have NEVER had a bad software glitch or OTA problem with my 2021 Taycan 4S (May 2021...
Last Winter (late Feb. 2022) I put in a small deposit on the Tesla website for a Model 3 LR, just as a lark. I thought the delivery times were so extreme I wouldn't get the car until July. My plan was to take delivery, drive it home, and "flip" it because of the massive demand and price...
A comment about the bike: I was mistaken, it wasn't a Japanese rocket, but some type of American V-Twin (I'm not 100% sure) but more of a cruiser. Def not a Harley, maybe a Victory?
At any rate, I know the Taycan 4S would get smoked by my neighbour's Ducati and I have no illusions about that...
Living here in western Canada (not on the coast), there are NOT many EV's around. My region does not have any gov't subsidies for EV's, because we're the oil producing centre of Canada. I won't get into the political science angle of it, but it's pretty much ass-backwards to every other...
I found some more new promo shots of the GV60.
It seems to be very polarizing. Some people hate the look, some love it. I think it looks cool. The luxury appointments in the interior blow the Tesla Model 3 out of the water (here in Canada they are priced similarly).
Here's some new shots (BTW...
To each his own. Where I live in Canada, the current rage is the matte / flat black wrap that seems to cover every sports car around.
People tend to comment on this red because of the metallic flake, it really changes the hue of the paint depending on the time of the day / sun angle.
BTW ain't...
Thanks to everyone for their input. I appreciate it. This vehicle is to replace an aging MB 350 SUV that (of course) is going to need extravagant repairs of parts made by Elves using Mithril and magically-imbued PVC. Not to mention the mind-blowing labour costs MB charges their customers.
I...
Hey all,
I am a current Taycan 4S owner (and loving it) but looking to replace my aging SUV.
In Feb. 2022 I put down a deposit for a GENESIS GV60, their 1st fully electric crossover with dedicated platform.
Yes, I know it's basically a tarted-up Hyundai Ioniq / Kia EV6, but it has better...
