Well the surround view shows everything when objects are not close to the car. Objects closer than at least 10 cm are deliberately “greyed out”/shown as a shadow - so this part is not shown and objects Will not be visible. My shoe that I put along the car “dissapeared”. I tried to make a screen...
First - damn it’s a pain to curb the wheels. Very sure it can be repaired. I have had several cars done (in my business etc) and they look flawless afterwards. There is nothing structural here on the wheel to be concerned about but maybe the lifting points of the car should be studied carefully...
Maybe one should bring a thick microfiber cloth to put on the car between panel and cable to protect the paint while not parking like a moron? I do it on my boat to protect the paintwork on the outboard motors from the mooring lines.
I’m in the same boat with a scheduled NOV2020 delivery. But hey - its no such a big issue. Home charging is 11kW anyway here unless i roast the circuits
On road trips 150kw and upwards is necessary, so the 22 kW is not THAT important.
Hi Thomas
Please note that the AC charger is in the car. A mobile connect with 22kW will not be supported by the car unfortunately to more than the 11 kW that the Taycans on board charger supports.
I guess it’s different what people like etc. The color on the car also has an influence on what alloys look the best IMO. I find the Turbo wheelS look better than the aero and especially with the logo in full color.
Nice build ;)
Frozen Blue seems to be quite popular from my little observation at the factory gates and the color codes mission E wheels seem to be a popular choice as well :)
I totally understand the concern of damaged paintwork as a future owner of a high price and high quality product.
But if the risk (of damage to the paint) is low as it is then why? Just more use of plastic materials which I don’t see the reason for. Did pas a lot of trucks on the autobahn...
On the way back to Denmark from the South of France I used the morning hours in the Museum, Zuffenhausen dealership and walking around the Factory. A LOT of Taycans are being produced - my guess is that they make as many Taycans at the moment at 718s and 911s together!
