Make sure you've got Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enabled on your Android phone. If you've got a VPN, turn that off. If you go into the Android Settings on your phone and search for Android Auto, you'll want to check if Wireless Android Auto is enabled.
Ditto -- I'm also in Texas where the ambient high temperature has been >90°F / 32°C every day. An enclosed garage with an ICE car parked next to the Taycan means it gets warm, especially once the ICE car is dissipating heat from a recent drive. I found dialing down the PMCC current to <30A...
Cosmin at Pro Reflection does really good work. I did a full body PPF + ceramic on my 4S in 01/2021, and I've brought it back for another ceramic coating recently. He also does all the PPF for Porsche Austin.
The PCM presents separate TAYCAN and TAYCAN_5GHZ Wi-Fi networks. I just connect to TAYCAN at 2.4 GHz; there shouldn't be much RF interference in the distance between my phone in the cupholder to the PCM. :)
I've been using the City of Austin / ChargePoint 125kW charger at Whataburger at ABIA. It's ~12 mins / 8 miles away from the track. Obviously, it'd be best if EA could install a 350kW charger at the track, but I'm doubtful that'll happen anytime soon.
2020 4S owner in Round Rock here. I've had mine for a little over a year and a half, and have put 20k miles on it. I'm active in the Hill Country Region PCA and have done two track weekends at COTA in my Taycan!
I'm sure the fast DC chargers at the tracks will find a way to price gouge, just like they do with 101 octane fuel. :) Formula E's Gen3 cars will be able to charge at 600kW, so ABB must have cooked up some kind of mobile charging solution that's powerful enough to charge all those race cars and...
Nice lap video! I can tell you definitely know your way around that circuit. :) Did you find similar turn-in points as the M3? I came from a rear-heavy 911, so trail braking wasn't particularly effective on the Taycan.
Also, this is the first Track Precision video I've seen from a Taycan! It's...
Ugh, losing the 12V battery is the worst electrical gremlin to ruin one's day. Including Pascal Wehrlein's day at Monaco.

I didn't mean an anti-radar/anti-laser plate cover.
I meant 3M (as in the chemical company) has actively engaged in lobbying to require front license plates and replacement of those plates every few years. This is because they make the reflective coating on virtually every license in America...
The 295s fit nicely. Taycan GTS comes standard with:
Front: 9.0 J × 20 ET 54 wheels with 255/40 R20 tires
Rear: 11.0 J × 20 ET 60 wheels with 295/35 R20 tires
Which is the same width wheels as the 20" options on other Taycans. I've attached a photo of the 295 width MPS4S tire on my 20" Taycan...
Absolutely amazing. I had a coworker report on his experience with the Porsche Ice Driving course, and it sounds like a riot! This one is a little further down my prioritization list, though, behind one or more Porsche Track Experience courses at Barber and a European Delivery with laps on the...
WOW! Those are really flyin' laps around Laguna Seca and COTA! You've got my dream setup -- a Taycan plus a GT3. I bought the Taycan to move up on Porsche Austin's 992 GT3 waitlist, but it's been such a marvelous "one car" solution that I'm wondering how much better the 992 GT3 could be?! Or, I...
