Hi. I moved from 4S to GTS in December 2021. I’m also with Chester. My new car arrived earlier this month (still waiting to collect as heating issues!).
The deposit is the same….what might be more of an issue is where you go on the list compared to 4S.
But as others have said, 100% go GTS...
my dealer picked during PDI with my brand new Taycan GTS the heating issues. I’m very grateful they did! I’m still waiting for parts since 2 December and told its likely another 4 weeks
Hope the car is all good and nice Christmas present. I have a long wait for my brand new Taycan GTS given heater issues! I’ve given up hope I will be able to collect before February.
Hi all
My brand new Taycan GTS (which I haven’t even collected yet) is at dealers with the heating issue.
I’m told by a number of people, it’s likely to be 4-6 weeks before parts arrive.
I’ve been waiting since 2 December.
I’m waiting to collect my brand new Taycan GTS which has the heating problem (picked up on PDI). I was due to collect on 4.12.22. Spoke with Porsche UK and no timeline given on the when parts might be available to dealers can fix the issue. Looks like a while before they become available...
According to a number of very reputable car valuing companies, I’m told the difference is £700-£1000 depending on model and options. That’s for a 72 reg Jan or Feb 2023 car over a car registered between Sept-Dec 2022.
We’re in same position! Be good to chat as I’m taking to dealer about how to compensate and what your experience has been / what your dealer might be offering
Hi all
I was due to collect mine on 4.12.22 (brand new Taycan GTS) and dealer emailed on 1.12.22 to tell me heater had failed as part of PDI
This is after paying for the car, tracker subscription and car insurance!
They also registered the car before collection and now I have no idea when I...
Hi. Hope you get your car soon.
My timeline is near identical! I also received email from dealer on 2.12.22 (not call) that my Taycan GTS had failed its PDI with heated issue. I was due to collect on 4.12.22.
I’ve had no further update and no idea when I will be collecting the car.
I’ve...
Deffo check heater. My Taycan GTS was due for collection on 4 Dec. Dealer phoned on 2 Dec to say as part of PDI they discovered problems with heater. My friend also collected his and had same issue but wasn’t picked up by PDI.
Also, one friend had a crack in the pano roof. So worth checking.
Hi. My car was registered by dealer on 2 December before the PDI!
Also, I’ve made it clear that tracker, and all other services need to be a full 12 months from when I collect.
I also have other losses which are being covered. The dealer has been great.
I was due to collect my new GTS on 4 December and received call on 2 December to let me know as part of PDI they discovered my heating wasn’t working. Not best pleased as you can imagine having waited 12 months+.
Not certain when I will be able to collect the car but hoping it’s before Christmas
Amazing! My Taycan GTS arrived at the dealers on November 25 and pick up was due on 4 December. Unfortunately due to discovery on PDI the heating wasn’t working, now waiting for parts so hoping I can collect before Christmas.
That’s what I was told yesterday. Some cars might have a recall on them to replace the unit, which is therefore causing a backlog and delay in parts arriving.
Thanks. I’ve now checked with two of my friends (both picked up their Taycan 4s’s) this week and both have issues with heating with cars now back with the supplying dealer.
So on surface it appears heating is an issue with some of the cars right now.
I’m just thankful it’s been detected...
Also the car was taxed / registered today ahead of delivery for Sunday. The PDI then happened. I’m hoping I manage to have car this month otherwise another issue if it goes into January but car registered in December
