I received letter today from Porsche UK on the Safety Recall for my 21 4S.
Bit of a pain as I'd had mine back at the OPC 2 weeks ago for the software updates.
Booked in at OPC Glasgow next Friday for the work
My 21’ 4S is going into OPC Glasgow tomorrow for the update, I also asked them to take a look at the rear spoiler which doesn’t close fully flush, it’s not a major issue and if I didn’t know better then a random stranger wouldn’t notice..but that’s not the point ?.
Anyway on speaking to them...
I’ve noticed the same with my 21 4S, I’ve checked pics from the day I collected the car when the spoiler was definitely flush and now I’d say it’s about 1cm higher and not flush (not quite as prominent as the original poster pics) when retracted/closed, similar to others I tried opening/closing...
It won't bring up the USER profile section as it thinks it's not connected to the Porsche Servers. Interestingly via the Web Portal of the PMCC, I have disabled PLC connection, on the Network section it thinks it doesn't have Internet Connectivity, It's connected to my WiFi fine and I don't have...
I've just got around to testing/setting up my PMCC - had the car over 2 months but not required the PMCC as I have a PodPoint Home Charger installed that has been taking care of day to day charging at home at 7.2KW. Today as I'm off work for a few days, I thought I'd take a look at the PMCC and...
I need to use LIFT mode to get my car onto my drive, once parked up I don't lower it back down to Normal height as it needs LIFT to then get back out of driveway.
Does anyone know if leaving car in extended LIFT mode whilst parked would cause any problems with any suspension components or is it...
In Sport (not sport plus) the default chassis height is Medium the same as Normal mode so there shouldn’t be any difference in height with the default value. I.e pressing sport button in the centre console.
Is there any reason not to drive in Sport Mode ALL the time for daily driving?
There may be a v.small range drop, but daily commute were you are not worried about range and top up daily is there any reasons not to put it in sport mode all the time, would the slightly stiffer suspension/chassis...
Sorry to hear/see this.
Looking at the incline of the drive it looks fairly steep, I'm surprised the Taycan wasn't slipping down it when you were parking up to start with or perhaps the pic makes the incline look worse?
Coming from a few Cayenne's and the weight of them similar to the Taycan it...
My Taycan 4S even in LIFT mode scrapes a little on the Plastic guard underside at the front of the car when coming out of my drive, the level of the road vs. my driveway is what causes the problem, I think to solve it the only way would be to increase the actual level of the public road (or...
Anyone done any real world tests on the effect of Sport (or Sport Plus for those with Chrono) vs. Normal in consumption values- assuming your driving style would stay the same for both but taking advantage of the faster response times on Sport and overall sharpness of the chassis?
I did a run...
I have a Pod-Point for my Taycan4s, I can confirm at least on my install it's painless - plugged in and worked 1st time - all green on the charging lights - at the Pod-Point and the Taycan, disconnected fine at end of charging also, the general profile of 85% on the Taycan worked fine...
The keys store settings so I don't get your point?
Older Porsche keys were able to be programmed for this and change the settings to 2 secs to hold down to open the boot/trunk.
Any options to change the key sensitivity to open the bonnet (frunk, trunk, boot etc)?
I know over the years the Porsche keys design have got more and more sensitive but my last Cayenne and 911 I never accidently opened the boot/bonnet/trunk once in 3 years of ownership, in 1 week of Taycan...
All my Porsche's have been the same over the years that I've owned- Boxster, 911, Cayenne's and now Taycan all have misted up more than other cars - I think it's a Porsche trait.
Can I check what other users have as Tyre Pressures in the label on the car for 20” Turbo Aero Wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres?
The reason I ask is when I collected it from the dealer they were off what is in the Tyre Plate on the car.
Mine has
Front – 245/45/R20 as 36 PSI (partial...
I had the same pop up the day after my collection, I've since just swiped right to left on them all, same as what you do on a phone to delete email etc.
That has got rid of them the last day or so and not come back.
Agreed, it does make me Q. what they do during the PDI checks on delivery though...
The username and password were fine, ! Was the special character in the password.
The problem was in the Porsche servers backend infra and the car not be recognised correctly, was 1.5 days at the dealership but got fixed and is working now. I believe a number of new cars have had this problem...
yes - not sure if the same error that you are getting but I picked mine up on Monday and no connection either to login - see post below for the details and what I've tried to date.

No joy thus far and I dropped it...
