Actually I didn’t vote to leave but the way the European politicians are behaving makes me wonder if those that did were right...but this isn’t the forum for politics.
My point isn’t that Porsche should absorb any Tariffs, (I’ll take those on the chin) it’s that they shouldn’t take the...
I disagree... My view is that if it’s a Warranty issue, the vehicle should be returned to you in the same specification. If the fault wasn’t there you wouldn’t be expecting anything.
The fact that the fault exists is not your responsibility. The car should be restored to it’s pre Warranty...
I was presented with this letter days after signing my order. The amended clause in mine and yours differs from the wording in the covering letter and actually states we will pay 110% of the order price not ‘up to’.
This is wrong many counts:
Any tariff applied may not be 10%
The tarried...
Thank you.
I'd trade a glass roof for not having to wait 4-5 months... Great that your dealer had the confidence to build a stock car in Cherry Metallic. All here seem to be silver/black/green.
Towbar & trailer...?
Really useful post thank you Yves and congratulations.
I've ordered a Cherry Red 4s (Config Code PMI32JU6) with Aluminium roof and chrome windows. I feel these accentuate the shape of the car better than the black trim and glass roof as the trim mirrors the silhouette of the car and the roof...
Yes, agreed but of course there could be some form of half way house deal that would also include tarrifs that could contain some form of delineation or scaling... It's all just guesswork but in the meantime Porsche are asking for a carte blance acceptance of a 10% increase on the full RRP, not...
I placed an order for a 4S a few weeks ago. 2 days later I received an email from the dealer with an addendum to the contract of sale from Porsche UK demanding that I accept a 10% increase on the configuration price to reflect the expected 10% Tariff resulting from a no deal Brexit. It also...
Really interesting post thx JonNic. I haven’t ordered Bose simply because the standard sound in the Macan is so good and the loan Taycan I had for a day had Bose fitted so no idea that the standard sound is below par.
The Tacan may be heavy, but be warned, it goes light at the front, almost...
There’s plenty of that (BBBL’s funding discretionary acquisitions) going on, though of course isn’t in the spirit of the various loan schemes. ?
If you have access to cash, via a business or personally, I’d still go down that route. The £15-£20k interest paid over the PCP/HP term will be a...
Or maybe cash is king... I understand the tax benefits of PCP if it's a company related vehicle but if you're 'buying' privately, consider paying cash either from reserves or a standard loan which will be at a lower rate. If VW finance charge say 6.5% that's a significant interest charge over...
Ouch.
Yes, Aston dealers were hugely overstocked when Tobias Moers took over as CEO so needed to clear the backlog and get back to 'production on demand', and, I hope, profitability. I love Porsche's technological lead but was very disappointed that the 'Electric Sport Sound' doesn't have an...
An arbitary 10% hike is opportunistic or just ill considered (paying tax on tax..?). If it masks an underlying price increase, I don't necesarily have issue with that, but would prefer them to be open and honest about it and of course be clear on it at the point of pricing/ordering.
The roof...
Thanks Frank. We use the SUV for carrying stuff/people/dogs and have a trailer too, so the Taycan is for 'high days and holidays' so won't need a roof rack. It'll be driven hard but otherwise lead a cossetted and much admired life :involve:
Joy. I'm a bit old fashioned and work on the basis that if you enter into a contract and agree to buy something at a price, that price should be maintained, but realise Porsche T's & C's allow for a price uplift to be imposed during the build/delivery period. Whether it will put me off...
Well, I've ordered a Cherry Metallic 4S and am thrilled, and of course have joined the Forum.
Just wanted to say 'Thank You' to all on the forum that contribute to such informative threads. They all helped me achieve what I think is an ideal spec. for my purposes, and to help me understand...
