Two more 12-bay sites coming in south-east London., that aren't yet on the official tracker:
This one is around the corner from Fastned at Ramac Way:
(approved)
Greenwich Shopping Park
Bugsby's Wy,
New Charlton
London
SE7 7ST
About 3 miles away, hopefully gets through planning OK:

Just been informed that Skelton Lakes will be getting 18 more IONITY charging bays (10 x ABB + 4 x dual-head Alpitronic HYC-400's) - so 24 bays in total like the others above.
4 of the bays will be caravan / pull through bays - not that's important with a Taycan 😅
Price, they are expensive (compared to IONITY, Tesla and many others)
Reliability, in the past I've had all sorts of issues with authorisation. Never was a fan of how their old ABB units used to power share (or not)
IONITY are well into the expansion of the Extra MSA sites, up to 24-bays, with the following sites already operational:
Cambridge
Cobham
Peterborough
Baldock (spotted online changes today, should hopefully all be fully up by end of the week)
Recent press release by ZapMap...
Generally tend to avoid Gridserve myself and would go in preference to Tesla, even though they're 'only' 400V capable so a bit slower charge (with the 150 kW converter option).
That’s not the disc mate, that’s the carrier. As said it steel and will get rusty, not that you’d see ordinarily as it’s covered by the wheel. All looks pretty normal to me (Turbo owner with same setup) 👍
The bonkers thing is, the Taycan actually has dedicated hardware/ECU specifically for over the air updates….but you’d barely know it, unless someone told you ?
…I had the OTA battery monitoring update the other week and also the OTA update a month or two ago for the telemetry module (which was...
Think you’re probably right
OP reads like they registered just to give us that little tidbit of info. Either it’s a windup or they’re a stereotypical middle-aged Porsche owner that’s just stepped into an EV for the first time ever.
Mine is a November 2022 build MY23 - the OTA update for WRS0 was notified at 22:00 on Thursday (17 July) evening and installed later that night.
Can’t detect any noticeable difference.
Incidentally I received a letter about the update today, from Porsche Cars GB dated 16 July. So all quite timely.
Seems that it could be a misunderstanding. Will wait for @Throb to elaborate further, but an employee from IONITY has made it known that the chargers should not be in scope of the parking restrictions / limits that apply in the actual carpark…
This makes no sense. You charged a total of 5 kWh on a 150 kW ultra fast charger.
That would take around 2 or maybe 3 minutes. But you left it connected overnight ?
What did you expect!! ?
@Throb did last Tuesday.
We’ve been discussing over at SpeakEV the possible extension of parking restrictions proposed by Hilton there on Faceache.
Although it looks like it shouldn’t be included according to IONITY.
I’m tempting Murphy’s Law big time here, but so far in 2.5 years I’ve not had a problem.
On AC charging I typically use 3-phase so am pulling down 21-ish kW typically on a combination of the EVSEs that I use at home / work:
- Zappi Multiphase
- Tesla Wall connector (from circa 2018)
-...
Personally I let the EVSE (Zappi multiphase) do all the IOG scheduling with Octopus and it works very well.
The app does issue a small complaint if after a few minutes the charge doesn’t start immediately, but that can be ignored.
