I've had both a J1.1 and now a J1.2 and they've been near flawless with some minor software "irritations". Like another post said, some bad cookies in the batch but overall an exceptional vehicle.
I've done front end PPF on my last 2 Taycan leases for many of the reasons listed above. Also did ceramic on the whole car. I do it because a) Porsche is very picky with returns and b) I just like keeping a car in good condition (I also wash it ~weekly).
I am an example of someone who “settled” for a 4-door sedan but really wanted a coupe. My guess is there is a good percentage of Taycan buyers who will switch to Cayman when it’s available.
A little bit (based on my first ~3,500 miles) but no more than my son’s 2025 VW Tiguan or my other son’s 2023 VW GTI. Frankly the whole VW Group needs to do better…
I’m a prior Cayman S, 911 SC, BMW M4 (and others) owner. Just traded in a 2-year old Taycan MY23 GTS for a MY25 GTS and have been very happy with both, though much happier with the higher range J1.2. Overall really miss manual gearbox and engine purr, but unlikely to go back to ICE. That said...
Which iOS app do you download to get these scans? I bought the device you posted in this message, but it has 12 different app options to download. Thx!
Heads up for anyone looking to use Zunsport Grills on their 2025 GTS…they don’t fit. I used Zunsport Grills for my 2023 GTS after a piece of gravel caused a $4,500 radiator replacement. Disappointingly neither the grills labeled for Taycan/S/4S or the ones for Turbo/Turbo S fit my 2025 GTS...
Max - I’m in my last year of my 2023 GTS lease, and trying to figure out my next move as I really want a J1.2. May I ask which dealership made you this deal?
I’ve recently been charged for “fill ups” at EA stations that are managed by Costco. I have sent a message to Porsche to make sure they try and clarify that in their route planning and charge planning. But perhaps I should’ve started it from the app first…
Porsche Support had me delete timers and set one up new on the PCM vs the app. This solved my problem (if it charging to 100% regardless of timer settings)
yes this is a bug not a user error :) as I'm very familiar with the direct charging button in PCM and toggle in app. calling Porsche now to seek guidance
As a follow up to prior post, I was down to 79% so tried charging on home charger with Timer profile for 85% charging 9p-6a, direct charging off, and it started charging immediately (at 4:15pm) and I shut it down at 86%. This was after deleting app and reinstalling, deleting all other Timer...
I’ve had zero problem for 18 months and all of a sudden it’s charging to 100% regardless of my settings. No recent SW update. I’ll try the suggestion in last post and let you know in a week.
