I agree that it’s unenforceable, but would add that most cyclists probably own a car and already pay VED (in the U.K.). However, those riding three abreast on country lanes should have their gonads skewered on their spokes.
Quick word of thanks, I’ve managed to set the car up on the My Porsche app after struggling with the old Porsche Connect, it was doing my head in. I’ve spoken to my dealer who tells me I should get the ability to charge and pay through the app I a few days time, affording me the discounted rate...
My advice would be to take your car to a professional detailer if you want a ceramic coat, or any other sort of protection. I can’t imagine a dealer will prep or execute to the same level of detail, despite what they say. Save your money or get it gone properly.
I don’t have a charge card, hadn’t realised that Porsche connect had been superseded, if I still have zero functions on ‘my Porsche’ in any event. I will contact the dealer, thanks for the tip regarding charges, it’s Ionity I’m interested in as the Stafford site is useful for my trip north
I don’t have a Porsche charge card, I gave up on my new order and bought a lightly used 4S a few weeks ago, no charge card was supplied or mentioned, but I assumed I could charge and pay through the app (where I’ve downloaded my credit card details). I will contact my dealer, thanks.
I can’t access the services in my connect app, it keeps coming up with the message that services are limited for this vehicle, despite the fact that I’m fully connected. I’m planning my first proper road trip and want to be able to access the U.K. Porsche dealer and Ionity network with...
Thanks for clarifying, I guess my long term thinking is the myenergi solution will offer a lot of functionality when I install solar, will wait and see.
I didn’t realise there was an option for solar, but I’m happy with my choice, it’s neat and will hopefully be a good long term option. The stories about the PMC put me off as well.
I have a tethered Zappi installed in my garage, going solar so it made sense for me. I have the mobile charger but don’t use it, though I understand it’s slower. I charge at 7.5kwh overnight (8 hours) with no issues at all, cost £1300 to install on single phase.
I live on a narrow lane that is also part of an estuary trail with lots of cyclists and walkers, I see no difference in behaviour with sound on and I’m not convinced it can be heard from outside. I hate ‘tooting’ people so end up trying to make polite requests with the window open, only to...
That’s a good point, I’ve also been told that there’s another significant update coming next year. I hope they can sort the gremlins that afflict the PCM, I’m almost surprised now if it fires up first time! My ideal would be to time a new order to coincide with any ‘physical update’, but looking...
I’ve been getting a message that tells me functions are limited while driving, eventually it rights itself when it decides to look for my iphone, took about 15 mins today. At the moment I can forgive the car anything (4S) because it is such a sweet drive, I know the weight sits low but I still...
Be interested to know what someone like F1eng has to say, but if tyre wear is consistent and the car feels no different then why bother? It seems an awful lot of geo work a daily driver.
