This is exactly why topics like this keep coming up again and again rather than being solved - because people like you keep making posts like your earlier one which attempt to dismiss the problem without bothering to read the rest of the discussion first.
Happy to shake your hand on your...
Yeah, I’ll try the convoluted daily timer thing, but even if this works it still doesn’t explain why there isn’t simply:
A) A maximum limit on profile
And
B) A pause/stop button on the main charging screen
having to guess all this profile stuff is pretty terrible design
Your number 1 doesn’t work. This is what I always used to do but since the latest recall software update it just keeps going up.
number 2 could makes sense so will try it next time I charge!
thanks.
What a lovely story.
absolutely adding zero value to this discussion though.
Have already said the specific public chargers being used don’t allow you to set any limits
Well, if nothing else I think we’ve concluded that it’s not very intuitive and there is no simple (clear/well defined) answer.
Porsche customer service are useless when I email them (they don’t even reply half the time) so will try befriending some of the Porsche connect developers on LinkedIn...
why is the repeat button important if this is functioning correctly?
I may not want to repeat it. But if I set it to 85% for tonight then it should stop at 85% tonight. Regardless of what I set it to for completely different days.
Yeah, thanks, I think this discussion just proved how terrible the experience is. Everyone’s just guessing.
We’re practically at try leaving the passenger door open and turn the steering wheel to the right when charging.
That’s just because it skips to the next day once the time has passed. I assume you it was on today overnight/when it was active.
I can put on the daily repeat, but why would that make any difference?
Hi @Scandinavian - Yes, see attached.
With these settings I’ve tried combinations of:
- Only time set and profile off
- Only profile set and time off
- Both time and profile on
all overshoot 85% and just keep going to 100%.
strangely last night (only profile on as attached), I work up about...
Well if this is the answer then no prizes for good digital design going to Porsche!
I feel like I’ve tried every combination possible and nothing’s worked but will give this one a go to make sure. Thanks
Yes, it always charges past and no, it’s not location specific. See attached.
the more I think about it the more I think it stopped working after the recall software update it had about a month ago
Yes. Have only ever had one profile and it always overshoots the 85% when this is set.
I’m certain that it didn’t used to be this way. Last year it used to stop at 85% but these days it just keeps going (I had the latest software update with the breaks recall a couple of months ago and it may...
No, this doesn’t work. I set only the profile to 85% and it just keeps going all the way to 100% (Porsche call it a ‘minimum charge’ not a maximum for a reason it seems).
I’m starting to think some of us may be having different experiences to others and maybe that’s why this question keeps...
Ah, I missed the not available for DC charging point before. I’m using the street lamp chargers here in London.
do you reckon this could be the reason it just keeps charging? Totally mental if so!
thanks again
