After testing the Tesla Supercharger with my new adapter in September, I hadn't used a Supercharger since. But, today I was on the road for a short trip and plugged in, expecting to click into the Tesla app to choose the charging station etc, it started charging on its own! All of the...
Received Porsche NACS adapter last week and tried it yesterday, Sunday. (I had previously added my car to the Tesla app.) One of the Tesla supercharger sites near me has one charger that allows Teslas to pull in head first, so-to-speak, so I went for that (had to wait a few minutes for a model Y...
Terrific! I'll need to look out for the right descent to see it myself. I would guess the elevation change on the route I drove would be at least 500meters and steep/rapid enough. But I just might have missed the SoC% increase too...
I was driving down from Mt Hood (Oregon, USA) toward Portland on hwy26 where there is a lengthy opportunity for regen. I counted 24 miles added to the range estimate number. The state of charge % didn't increase, however (of course, it didn't decrease either...). In past trips short and long, I...
The mtn bike fit was a big deal for me to confirm before I bought my 4S sedan (not CS) to the point I took my bike into the dealership and tried it. I was guessing that it probably wouldn't fit but it fit fine with dropper seat post down and front wheel off. So as the other posters said, I'm...
In case others have not noticed this: I recently charged up at the EA-Pleasanton, CA and assumed the charging cost was covered by Porsche for the first year like other EA stations at Walmart, Target, etc. But the cost for this one stood out on my history in the Porsche app. I called EA and they...
Shout out to daveo4EV and the rest down at Laguna Seca and PCA! I went down from the PNW and I'm so glad I did--so great to feel the track up close and the famous corkscrew. Everyone was in great spirit.
That’s good info about locking and letting it sit clearing it on the first couple occasions . But I get you—pretty strange that our HV battery or onboard charger bringing the public charger down!
At Porsche service, do you know what they did, if anything, to revive it? Did they drive it off the truck as they did with mine? From what I could tell by what Porsche service told me, other than checking the codes/logs, they just let it sit for a while and it cleared itself. With this yellow...
Thanks for replying. I wasn't thinking the 12V battery was THE problem but when it is drained so quickly in a situation similar to mine, it might be helpful for to have a jump-starter at least get basic functions like frunks and screens going again, and prepare for the tow truck, if nothing else!
I've been reviewing the other posts on this subject and have some follow-up questions.
First, here's the sequence:
While on road trip (in Taycan 4S 2025), I was charging to 60% at an Electrify America(EA) and suddenly at 59%SoC it stopped and Electrical System Error alert;
Never experiencing...
