I got the red error the second time on Nov 7. Had to leave on vacation for 3.5 weeks and came back to a dead car. Jump started the 12v to get it in neutral and towed to dealer last Wed. Range was about the same as I had left it on Nov 7 when I jump started.
The first time the error disappeared...
That could be the case but then isn’t a Turbo also a marketing concoction of the same design to get people to pay more for a slight bump in performance over the GTS? ?
Every step up in a model is a way to get you to spend more. Right?
Did they do a good job hiding and routing the wires without any damage to panels? I am looking for an installer in the California Bay Area.
If anyone has hardwired a 3rd party camera in their Taycan and recommends an installer, please DM or reply.
I believe the loaner did not have matrix but had a very noticeable swivel.
Maybe the matrix functionality is limited in the US *shrug*
so what are we really getting in the US for PDLS+ and matrix LED?
Thanks for the reply. Should I see a little light dance when the car turns on? It did the dance with my loaner but doesn’t with mine.
What’s a good way to test the smooth change?
I have the PDLS plus with LED matrix lights and I noticed that the lights don’t turn in the direction of the turn when turning the steering wheel. I noticed it did with my loaner Taycan. Is there a quick DIY fix for this?
I personally could tell the difference in maneuverability between my Taycan GTS with rear wheel steering and a loaner Taycan without it. Mine is definitely more agile.
I have a question for anyone here who has had a dead Taycan…
How did the tow truck get the car on to flatbed when the car would not get into drive?
The tow truck in my case used hooks to hook on to the lower arms(?) of the front wheels and then pulled it on to the flat bed in neutral . He said...
I just got an update from the dealer.
For context, I had to get the immobilized Taycan onto a flatbed truck and transported it to the dealer. I left it with them on Wednesday morning.
Fast forward to today, the service manager messaged me saying the technician’s brief report states the car...
Hmm I’ll check that next time but IIRC, I was changing from Sport to Normal in a situation where I was coming to a strip of road that only allowed for 25mph max and didn’t need all that power in sport mode.
Has anyone ever heard gears crunch when switching modes? I heard an uncomfortable crunch maybe 3 times over the course of 5700miles. The crunch only seems to occur at very slow speeds like when I’m slowing for a stop light with my foot on the brake pedal.
so now I make sure I don’t have my foot...
So just to clarify, the interior displays do not adjust their brightness automatically based on ambient light. Is that right?
My MY2013 Tesla has this feature and I miss it in my Taycan.
I am not happy with CarPlay either and it is quite unreliable. Once in a while I unpair in my phone settings and also from the car and do the re-pairing process, which gets it working again.
In general I try not to think too much about the software shortcomings with the Taycan and just enjoy...
