I have to get a new cable out there, along with a new consumer unit out in the garage plus the socket - it came out to just over £1000.
I imagine with a suitable supply already in place you'd be looking at circa £250 given you only need a module for the consumer unit, some cable and the socket...
I'm planning to go down the socket route too rather than a dedicated charger - I'll need a bigger cable out to the garage in either case.
Plan to use the Porsche charger on a 32a socket as a semi-permanent install and have the Ohme for a portable on the road option with a standard plug. The...
Same dealer and same delivery date, apparently mine hasn't made it onto the boat yet either.
(I don't ever get a proactive phone call though and always have to chase it)
My car was meant to exit the factory on the 30th of October. Dealer (Reading, UK) is stating the week of the 23rd of November for delivery.
Seems a bit slow compared to some of the reports here, but maybe I'm subconsciously filtering out the longer ones and giving myself and unreasonable...
Antigravity make a battery monitor for lithium batteries which might do the trick: https://www.antigravitybatteries-uk.co.uk/battery-protection/antigravity-battery-tracker-lithium.html (UK link, but I think they're widely available in the US)
I use one on my sportbike and it works great...
A fairly decent car charger will provide 5A or more, the car would really have to be going some to deplete the battery with that much charging going on.
Bear in mind that even with a smallish 500mA draw, a 50AH battery will be dead in a couple of days.
Based on that, I suspect a mid range...
Am I reading this right? Between the start and stop 1, 91 miles were covered for approx 50% charge. That's then topped up to 84% for £24.
If I simplify it and call it 90 miles for £24, that's 26p per mile which is about 20% more expensive than a really uneconomical petrol car would get (I...
I've got a deposit down for this spec:
http://www.porsche-code.com/PLYCEFZ3
Unashamedly based on the spec of a press car (but can't afford a Turbo S :p): https://e-performance.io/downloads/Vehicle-information-Taycan-Turbo-S-S-GO-163E.pdf /
Spec isn't locked yet, so any thoughts are welcome...
