By time I receive my turbo in a couple weeks, it will have been about 11.5 months since I placed my deposit. That was before the war, so this doesn't surprise me very much.

My TYD was previously showing 6/21 and my dealer even reached out on Saturday with that date. But I checked again now since your date is later than that and now mine shows 7/1.

Yeah. I also on the wait list for the CO Springs dealership as well, but the allocation at Prestige came first. I placed the deposits last August!

Someone else posted here about the same issue where their Taycan has been sitting in Emden for several weeks and I believe it was ultimately due to a missing component (maybe the Burmester amp?).

My car arrived at Emden on 5/13 and was scheduled to be loaded onto a ship on 5/20. Today it shows a revised date of arriving at the port of 5/19 and a new estimate for loading on the ship at 5/27. EDIT: Looks like mine was actually loaded on the Sunshine Ace and it departed a few hours ago. ?

I think it depends on the changes you want to make. I just tried changing to the Porsche Design clock and the SA told me it will push back delivery by over 6 months from the currently scheduled date.

To add to this, allocations being released for the quarter doesn't mean that the car will be manufactured that quarter, to the best of my knowledge. For example, I got on a wait list last spring for a turbo and finally got an allocation in November for a build in April.

This is interesting. I contacted all 3 Colorado dealerships to see if any have allocations. None did and one of the dealerships required a non-refundable deposit. In all cases, a deposit was required to be put on the waiting list and none of the three dealerships would give anything in writing...

Does anyone know which day this month Porsche releases allocations for the next quarter? I think if I don’t hear from the dealers here a few days after that date, I’ll go with a broker.

Good to know that allocations are still very hard to find in NorCal. The dealers in Colorado are telling me that I should expect 12-16 months before any more Turbo or Turbo S allocations are made available.

Thanks for the offer. I'm currently pretty set on getting the exact custom order I want if I'm going to be spending $200k on a car. I'm definitely okay waiting if that's inevitable, but I'm just trying to see if there is a way to avoid waiting potentially 1.5 years.

Does this mean that they couldn't find an allocation for a custom build using your build code or did you specifically ask them to find a similar build out there?

Yeah I did and the amount spent on options was around $23k for the turbo vs more like $50k on the 4S, if I remember correctly. I figured that with the difference in base trim price being the most relevant factor in resale value, I'd be a bit better off with the turbo.

Two of the dealerships here had 4S allocations but didn’t offer to trade them for a turbo and now I’m pretty convinced I want a turbo since my config would have been over $160k if a 4S.
