  1. Dreaded Red Electrical System Error & Poll

280? Miles? ? Mine sat around 205ish miles at 85% before the issues happened, and it’s currently sitting at 185 miles after the cell module replacement. 4S CT ETA: the 20 miles makes a difference - many of the hill country drives out here in fast charging wasteland are around 230ish miles so...
  2. Dreaded Red Electrical System Error & Poll

For those that have had modules replaced that were experiencing a range drop, how long did it take for your range estimator to balance out? Ours is still showing significantly reduced range but hasn’t been but a week or so.
  3. Some first impressions of new MY2025 Taycan test drive

IIRC, and I’ll verify later, I was pretty sure I read somewhere that the new Taycan and Macan are on an Android platform now, so that it isn’t the same architecture as the outgoing Taycan. If so, while it wouldn’t necessarily require a HW change, it’s not as easy as pushing the updated code to...
  4. Bye Bye Taycan

I still maintain anyone new to Porsche buying a Taycan for half off is still likely unaware of the Porsche tax. Multiple issues documented here to even just the windshield or pano roof. 100% get one at a discount, but take the money you saved and expect it to get used over time too. ?
  5. Just got it, fell in love, and on a flatbed

I agree. Anecdotally it seems like a big uptick.
  6. Has Porsche Killed the Taycan?

New to the automobile market? ?
  7. One step closer to that Mission E Concept look

Why wouldn’t you just buy the TPMS from a dealer? Wheels look great
  8. Porsche NA delays reimbursement payment for charger replacement

Yall with the tin foil hats. ? Payments are likely slow because there’s an influx and they probably assigned 2 people to take care of these. This type of situation would not get prioritized resources. Those two people will go back to their day jobs after this is done.
  9. Electrical System Error - 11 failed battery modules in 2021 Taycan under 10K miles

Yeah, it’s hard to say if it’s an egregious percentage of vehicles, but it certainly doesn’t feel super great to see so many real-life examples… Oh the other hand I really miss it and can’t wait to get it back!
  10. Electrical System Error - 11 failed battery modules in 2021 Taycan under 10K miles

Interesting to hear some areas need to have someone flown in or can’t repair on site. My dealer (Austin) said they have the correct tools and staff to do it, only had to get Porsche to review logs and determine whether they would replace cells or the whole battery. They said they do the test in...
  11. New Charger-related recall (for the 240 V cable) (NHTSA ID 23V-841)

Thereabouts. I only expected $600, but my receipt had both on there. I was confused. Lol
  12. New Charger-related recall (for the 240 V cable) (NHTSA ID 23V-841)

Got my check today, submitted on 2/22. Interestingly they gave me more than $600…
  13. Recall: High-Voltage Batteries May Short Circuit (ARA5) - March 20, 2024

Following, as my 2022 4S CT is in the shop right now for some HV battery issues. Maybe they can take their time ?
  14. Do NOT crack your panoramic glass!

That’s too bad really. These problems are not specific to Porsche (maybe save the crazy Porsche tax) nor are they uncommon across the EV sector as a whole - every EV is dropping value like a meteor, EVs tend to take less regular maintenance but seem a little bit more nightmarish when something...
  15. Do NOT crack your panoramic glass!

That sucks, sorry man. Separately, these exorbitant repair costs coupled with wild depreciation is exactly why we’re about to see a ton of Taycan’s patch-worked together - busted windshields, dents/scrapes, shitty aftermarket wheels, etc. Low entry fee into Porsche World and then BAM, you...
  16. Anyone fight Porsche warranty RE: damaged radar?

I call BS. My radar done has been peppered, and I don’t get any warnings. You should push that they haven’t found the issue yet.
  17. Uniden - R8 Radar Detector - Did anyone install ?

I believe that’s only the case if you optioned that glass. I do not have that glass and have my Uniden R7 mounted off the rear view mirror using a BlendMount solution, and haven’t had any issues with range.
