Ionity in Bodmin is fine. There are plenty of other DC chargers in Cornwall, so no real need for AC cables. Some Tesla chargers can be used. Checkout Darts Farm near Exeter, Lifton off the A30 and Fraddon, also off the A30. I have a 4s cross turismo. If you fancy a beer I live near Lanhydrock...
Me too. No settings in PCM at all, just tell Octopus when I want it charged by and to what percentage. The only issue I have had is when the car thought I was still on a journey and charged up to 100% overnight. So now I cancel any journeys in the nav
As Jeremy Clarkson said when comparing a BMW 850 and an Aston Martin ‘You would not want to lick a BMW’. I feel the same about Tesla. Taycan is pure emotion, art and heritage.
My cheapest options on long trips are Ionity, Porsche Dealers and then Tesla superchargers ( their app will show you which chargers can be used by non Tesla’s). Every other network is way too expensive. Great to hear you are going with Octopus - their scheduling of top ups at home provides cheap...
We love them both. The quality and sound proof nature of the Volvo has surprised us. I did 3000 miles before I filled up with petrol as I plug in every night and get 35 to 40 electric miles. I then realised petrol might go stale so emptied the tank and started again.
The Taycan fits a...
I have a 2023 4S CT on 21’s with Pirelli P zero tyres as original fitment. I have the insulated glass option and the car is very relaxing and quiet. Not as quiet as my Volvo xc60 plug in hybrid in electric mode as there is a definite electric motor noise in the Taycan. I would not swap either...
There are many Tesla chargers in uk that are open to others including Porsche. While not as cheap as Ionity or Porsche dealers per kWh they are cheaper than all other fast charge companies. The Tesla app makes it easy to find and use them.
My wife used the car today with my key. I had explained the navigation favourites to her with all the stops I usually make. Unfortunately on her return journey the car asked her to login (why?). So she did login using her Porsche id but then found navigation favourites was blank. So, can I share...
For two years I have had no issue at all with the set up I mentioned. A second plug in hybrid Volvo connects via their app too but for that I set an overnight timer in the app to get the cheap rate from iog.
I too have a Zappi and set IOG up again last week using the octopus app but chose the car option instead of the charger option. All works fine. I set the zappi to fast and use the % by a certain time function in the devices part of the app.
Don’t know about your first question but their look up system on vin (?) showed the exact glass needed. Mine too was the thermal and noise insulated option on the car from new.
Shame you don’t have access. In UK we can charge at many Tesla chargers but not all. The older chargers can be a challenge as cables are short but with some outrageous parking it is possible.
