My dealer told me that the higher trim levels will be the first available and lower levels will be as much as a year later? But I have no way to evaluate any of the dealer speak since Porsche seems to be undecided or fluid on many issues. Perhaps many issues aren’t yet locked down?
I don’t think Mexico Blue is a current color maybe a paint to suit color @ $6k-$8k premium. Might take a little “fun” out of that color. Additionally when I was at the factory, the tour guide said all paint to suit colors were a very low priority so it might take over a year to get after...
Most often if the government want people to act in a given direction there are tax incentives for that behavior. This Illinois tax looks like a disincentive to go Green. It would appear that intelligent government regulators (if there is such a group?) would have credits for EVs until...
I think Porsche will try to put out a “driver’s EV” so it may not be exactly what you are looking for - one peddle driving? Most Porsche owners want more connection to the driving experience not less. So the Testa may still be the best EV for your driving experience.IMO
I have to agree with Vim, find another dealer. I deal with a high volume dealership in LA/So Cal area and they have plenty of cars. That said they are all black, white, grey or silver they order very few other colors. They have several Macan loaners which I often get when I am having one of my...
That is my position exactly! I am not 100% sold on EVs but I saw the Mission E and said if I get one that’s the one I want with all the bells and whistles. So anything much less than that I just may stay with ICE vehicles?
I think everyone is looking forward to getting details on all the trim levels. It seems most comments here are largely speculation or rumors with very little real facts. However we have been promised a range of 310 miles by Porsche literature. But not sure if the base vehicle or a higher trim...
I am OK with the wheels except for black but they sure are not the WOW the Mission E wheels were. All an all it is looking better to my eyes. As others have said the black body covers a lot of the lines and the rear still has red camo and perhaps some on the rear bumper as well. But I still need...
I am going to guess that the US market will get the lyons share of Taycan allocations to go against the Tesla, especially where the Tesla is selling well, So Cal for one. Perhaps Florida as well? Also VW has a settlement (over the diesel fisaco) with the US government where they have agreed to...
I kind of agree with GreggT, the Taycan Mule model as shown is a nice family sedan but certainly nothing show stopping like the Mission E which was sold to the public at several Porsche events I attended. I have to wonder if Porsche believes they can really bait and switch its buyers and slowly...
I have 4 cars which I have serviced with my Porsche dealer so I am in the dealership very regularly and always check in with my salesman for any Taycan news. I have talked with my dealership’s sales people as recently as last week. The dealership is a high volume Porsche dealer in So Cal having...
Not so sure I want a Tesla Roadster in any event or even a Porsche sports EV, maybe a hybred like an entry level 918 should that happen. For now at least, I think I will keep my "fun" cars ICE vehicles. An EV for DD/grocery getting seems like what I want. I guess I want the fanciest toaster...
I agree reserve and see what Porsche delivers. I have no doubt it will be a quality vehicle but I am not sure it will be a vehicle I want to own?
With one of Porsche 911s I would not be so concerned about driving it first. I have owned and driven a lot of Porsche’s mainly 911s but generally...
When I went to the Porsche Experience center in LA a couple months ago for the Taycan promotion, there were several charging questions, I got the impression that many issues were still not resolved. Various contracts for charging stations had not been signed. I would have to think the...
I kind of doubt your pricing estimates as they are too high relative to the Tesla S which Porsche must be mind full. While I think the Porsche Taycan will be a higher quality vehicle, I doubt they will be able to have very much market penetration with that price range relative to the Tesla S...
Well yea haven't driven one yet so whats to talk about that experience. Only thing to talk about is what the Porsche marketers are putting out, dud. I went to the Porsche Experience for a ride in the Hybred Turbo S shooting brake or what ever they call it. It was nothing like a Mission E, it was...
