  1. Info about Taycan now available online

The good to know app for Android does not yet have Taycan info. :( But should be soon. Hopefully.
  2. Taycan Range Estimator based on WLTP like figures for USA

Interesting. Here in Finland the heat pump was an 800 € accessory. And this is a country where almost every buyer will likely choose it. Well I guess it's an easy way for them to make some extra money :D
  3. Taycan Range Estimator based on WLTP like figures for USA

For heating it will also matter a lot if you have the heat pump or not. It's a super must have accessory if you're living in an area with cold weather.
  4. Taycan Range Estimator based on WLTP like figures for USA

The Taycan has 3 settings for A/C. It's either OFF, in ECO PLUS, or ON. The Eco Plus mode uses significantly less electricity compared to having it fully on. I have not seen any reviews mentioning how good the Eco Plus A/C is. Hopefully we get some info on that from someone soon. It would...
  5. Members Say Hello Here!

Hello guys! I've been active at the forum for a while but haven't posted here yet. I'm a Finnish entrepreneur & investor in my middle thirties and, believe it or not, drove my driver's license at age 30. I used to live in downtown Helsinki where the public transport is superb, didn't need a car...
  6. Comfort for Tall Driver

People are built differently even if they are equally tall. There is not that much space so it will depend on how you're built. Only way to know for sure is to test it yourself but I know for sure it is *possible* for a 6'4 driver & passenger to fit back to back. Not guaranteed. Not that this...
  7. So based on the new EPA "Range" are you cancelling?

It's useless to look at these range estimates on the car screen. Please stop it guys. The reason why it is useless, is that these estimates try to be as realistic as possible based on your recent driving behaviour. I expect a lot of people that are test driving the car at this point, to be quite...
  8. 19 vs. 20 inch wheels?

The 19" wheels increase the range of the car which to me is a clear positive. And unlike many others, I actually like the look of the rims on the 19" wheels better than the 20". And they of course cost less. If I'm going to do some changes later on, that would be custom rims. I have Tomason...
  9. Time to get up and play in the snow.

louv can elaborate how this is with the Taycan, but I would assume it heats up a lot quicker. Generally the interiors of EVs heat up much faster compared to ICE cars. Finland is a fairly cold country and here those that are used to EVs always mention how much comfortable EVs are during winter...
  10. So based on the new EPA "Range" are you cancelling?

I haven't driven EVs yet, but what I've seen based on how EVs are usually driven on the roads here at least, and from all the discussions about EV driving, this seems to be a fairly common issue. It is easy to get in the hypermiling mindset with EVs and constantly thinking about how your...
  11. Comfort for Tall Driver

No. I first sat in the driver seat, set it up correctly for me, then sat behind it at the back. It was ok! Knees did not touch the seat and just enough headroom. Only with the glass roof though, head hits the roof with the regular roof. About 2cm difference.
  12. Surround View - Is it worth it?

I chose the surround view mainly because I don't want to scratch the rims. Which has happened with my current car (that has only basic radar). Bought nice special rims and now they're not so special. It'll make parking generally more care free in many situations.
  13. Comfort for Tall Driver

For the driver it should be quite fine. I'm 6'4 and I've sat in all the seats, plenty of space for the driver so I'd expect it to be fine for a 6'6. As for sitting at the back, it's just enough (barely) for me with the glass roof. I'd expect a 6'6 person to be uncomfortable at the back.
  14. Launch control on 4S ?

Indeed, looking forward to it! Delivery for mine still stands for February, as it gets closer I'm getting more and more excited. As for the A7, mine has similar specs and to me it doesn't seem that slow, quite adequate in most situations. What is frustrating occasionally is the turbo lag which...
  15. Launch control on 4S ?

My opinion on this is that if you're coming from ICE cars, 4S will be exotic enough with the instant torque of an EV. It'll feel different and refreshing. But if you're used to launching something like a Tesla S P100D, Turbo or Turbo S is probably recommended. It's all about what you're used...
  16. Porsche Taycan Configurator Online. Share Your Build!

The sports chrono clock looks bad in my opinion, doesn't fit the modern Taycan dash. I'd want it removed if it was possible. But I'm still getting the sports chrono for the drive mode knob on the steering wheel. That, for me, is a must. I asked about this and you can't get them separately. It's...
  17. Launch control on 4S ?

There are reviews of 4S driven elsewhere than snow. Not sure about launch control use though. But in the reviews basically even if the person had driven Turbo models as well, the comment has been that you don't really need more power than what the 4S has. Turbo level power is more for showing...
  18. Forum member test drives

About the charging port, in case people are wondering about that. I originally thought also that the basic port looks cleaner, but after playing around a lot with both ports at Frankfurt, I picked the fancier port for my 4S. Reason simply is that opening/closing the basic port, it feels just...
  19. Taycan Waiting Room: Who has ordered and a delivery date?

I'd like to note that there are 3 different sound options, at least here in Finland. The Turbo & Turbo S come with Bose default, Burmester optional. But the 4S comes with the regular surround sound (not branded) and both Bose & Burmester as an option. I ordered my 4S with the Bose. Sure I would...
  20. Taycans spotted in the wild

Fully agree... for a road car mild spoilers at high speeds make sense, which is exactly what the Taycan has. Big spoilers are for race cars.
