Hi Skystorm .... which options are available starting 4th of November? Can you tell more about these options?
... and when does your friend arrive back from trainee ? .... with all the answers :)
(In the meantime I would order the Turbo S instead of Turbo when "Welcome function" is available...
.. did you read the 80-120 times?
Can please all ask their Porsche dealers about that? .... at least mine has no clue .... "teaching about Taycan is on Mallorca in October"
The question is:"How to reach the difference of 0,2 sec on 80-120 time? ... when obviously no "Launch control" is used...
But if Turbo S advantage is only on "Launch control" ... how to explain the faster 80-120 time?
Turbo 1,9sec
Turbo S 1,7 sec
Is this 2,5sec boost thing also available when kicking hard the speed pedal?
(at least there is no boost knob on the drive mode selector at steering wheel)
I think this...
My Taycan will become volcano grey ... and I guess ice blue isn't the best fitting color ... but "Welcome" function would be great to have .. I hope this can be retrofitted by Porsche ... or maybe just a software thing?
Porsche Website is updated ... go to "Taycan" .. scroll to "Next Steps" .. go to "Personalisation" ... click on "Plus" sign at rear end on Taycan Turbo ... it clearly says that ice blue Porsche rear is an extra option including "Welcome" function ... but unfortunately available starting middle...
I cannot imagine that this „middle to edge“ light is combined with ice blue front lights .... the rep on Frankfurt Motor Show seemed not the best informed guy to me (I was there 3 days ago at a special evening event) .... the ice blue doesn‘t fit well to all body colors ... would be really pity...
hahaha .... Porsche used Turbo instead of Turbo S for record time : https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a29088855/porsche-taycan-turbo-s-nurburgring-lap-time/
That's funny ....
Ähmmm ... never a GTS or GT3 was ever faster than the Turbo versions ... if Porsche wants to be faster than Plaid I guess it is a Turbo RS ... or GT3 RSS ;-)
Found the 80-120 km/h times on Porsche website : Turbo 1,9 sec .... and Turbo S 1,7 sec ... means boost not only at launch control
But Turbo for me ... no need for Turbo S ...
Hi all!
Both - Turbo and Turbo S - have 625 PS .... there is only a difference in Boost mode .. but how does it work?
Porsche tells that the Boost mode is working during Launch control ... does it mean only at Launch control is a difference between Turbo and Turbo S (performance wise)?
But...
I guess not available for the early buyers ... otherwise it would be in the configurator ... means you have to wait for Crayon ... in worst case a few months
When looking at the link for the presentation tomorrow you can clearly see the number 131000 which makes no sense ... otherwise it‘s the price in EUR maybe ... maybe cheaper than expected?
