Many of us had our deliveries pushed back by a month. Do we think this could be related to this issue? It certainly seems possible they wanted to have a fix in place before they continued to build cars. Or it could just be general supply chain issues, but the timing is interesting.
The dates keep shifting. My car was finished a day early, and is on the way to the port and should get there tomorrow. My delivery date was 8.20, then 8.27 and now back to 8.20. I can't keep up! But I don't think it will be 8.20 because the chances of it getting to port on and all the way up to...
I know I paid 5 or 6K back in 2017 for FSD. It was supposed to be released end of 2016 IIRC. Riiiight.
It certainly is a pipe dream the way things are going. And every timeframe Elon gives for it being ready or really any feature at all is just a lie. Things never unfold as he announces. I...
The good news: my car just flipped to production.
The bad news: delivery slipped out by another week.
On balance, I'm pleased that we are making progress!
Yes my X has the fun yellow edges around the screen (I think they are finally replacing those now), all my seals seem to be disintegrating or melting into whatever they were made from, the media player doesn't work half the time, the auto wipers have been in Beta forever and never work right...
US here. I locked on the 23rd of April and originally was going into production on May 21 but now I have no idea. It's been pushed out to a prod complete date of June 25. The prod start date still says May 21 but it has not started production. So it's slipped at least a month.
This just brings up more questions: if we have the same production completion date, and you are in socal and I'm norcal, why do you have a delivery of Sept 3 and I have Aug 20.
Nothing is making sense. What is your "On Vessel" date? Mine is 7/23.
Mine just now updated the end of production date to 6/25. Still says start production on 5/21 but it's not started. No idea why that is.
At the same time, with all these reports flying about regarding loss of motive power, maybe it's for the best... ?
This is great to hear, as my X is horrible, especially if Sentry is on. So I just leave it off. Even off it drains more than I think it should (which is generally zero).
I checked with my dealer today and he sees what I see: still stuck waiting for production. So I think the TYD status is the real status, or as real as we are gonna get.
I guess I'll read the owners manual again...
