  1. Finally figured it out - Home Energy Manager + Mobile Charger Connect + Solar

Craig, both devices have a build-in PLC modem. So as long as the cable distance from the HEMS to the PMCC is not too long, they will find each other. To test simply turn on the PLC Modem in the HEMS and click on Connect, see...
  2. Finally figured it out - Home Energy Manager + Mobile Charger Connect + Solar

Is the PMCC connected via WLAN or via PowerLine? If WLAN, you may want to switch to PowerLine instead. When the WLAN router is updating the frequencies used, PMCC will have problems getting a connection quickly. And EEBUS requires a steady connection as it pings the device once a second. I had...
  3. Finally figured it out - Home Energy Manager + Mobile Charger Connect + Solar

This is brilliant, thank you @craig3101 !
  4. Finally figured it out - Home Energy Manager + Mobile Charger Connect + Solar

@craig3101 thanks for the video. That Intervall is quite fast. Would you mind posting a screenshot of the available settings? I have been looking for a documentation of those for a while and sadly found nothing. Thank you, Andreas
  5. Finally figured it out - Home Energy Manager + Mobile Charger Connect + Solar

Thanks @craig3101 So for your setup, it charges with full speed to 65%. After that it only uses excess solar energy to charge to 85%. If it can’t reach 85% until 16:00 hrs, it would charge with full speed. Is this correct? Would you be interesting in testing something? If you don’t use a...
  6. PMCC only delivers 16 amp, should be 32 amp

@SorenDK You might want to ask the dealership why they gave you such an old charger version with a new car. You are supposed to get the version which is capable of delivering 22kW.
  7. 19.2kW charger fix for EA charging and Plug & Charge

Why would that be unlikely? The german press release from 03/23/21 states that a retrofit will be available at the end of 2021 in some markets, the US version is missing this information. German...
  8. Home Enegry Manager and PLC connection to PMCC - Help?

@Alaistair just as a note, I had my PMCC also on Wifi and connected to a HEMS system (not the Porsche one though). I frequently had disconnects either because of signal issues or because the mesh system tried to change the frequency. Both of these cause the PMCC to show errors mentioning you...
  9. 22 kW onboard charger

Hi @McgR , I am sorry to be a little nit-picky: Would you mind not using kWh as a unit for charging speed as that is the unit for energy amount? It should be 150 kW and 22kW instead :) Just remove the h at the end, it is even less typing :D Just burns my engineers eyes a bit when reading ;)
  10. Porsche indicates warranty concerns if 3rd party charger used

Yep, this is nonsense. If that would be true, you shouldn't charge on any public AC chargers too.
  11. Home Enegry Manager and PLC connection to PMCC - Help?

@Alaistair try connecting the PMCC to a power plug that is closer to the HEMS (it should come with a matching cable for normal power plugs). And then do the pairing there. If that works, move it back to the final location and see if the PMCC shows an error message or if it can establish the...
  12. Home Enegry Manager and PLC connection to PMCC - Help?

Yep. I only have my PMCC connected via PLC and can access its webpage just fine. It can also upload the charging data to the Porsche Server just fine. So no need for enabling wifi ;) In theory you could disable PLC and ues the wifi connection of the PMCC. It would still be able to talk to the...
  13. Photovoltaics + house battery + Porsche Home Energy Manager + Porsche Mobile Charger Connect

Did you notice that the HEMS PV value is identical to the battery discharge value? Looks like it is connected to the wrong power cables. Did you check if the HEMS has an option to integrate battery charger power with additional measurement adapters?
  14. Home Enegry Manager and PLC connection to PMCC - Help?

No, you don't need both. If the HEMS also has a wired connection to your local network, then PMCC does not need to have an active WIFI connection. The PMCC is connected via the PLC connection to your local network and will get a normal IP address just as it would get for the wifi connection...
  15. Home Enegry Manager and PLC connection to PMCC - Help?

Hi, the Home Energy Manager and the PMCC need to "linked" together so they can communicate with each other so the Energy Manager can control the charging process. Using the WIFI connection of the PMCC will result in a lot of problems (been there, had that). The connection via PLC basically...
  16. Photovoltaics + house battery + Porsche Home Energy Manager + Porsche Mobile Charger Connect

@CatWithBat Do you have the Porsche Home Energy Management System installed? That one does not know anything about your home battery, as it only measures the incoming or outgoing power at the grid entry point. You PV/Home Battery setup should have a similar unit installed to measure that data...
  17. Home Energy Management throttling at work...

Hey @Pozuelo I just found this thread via a hint from someone else. I don't have the Porsche HEMS (it wouldn't work in my installation), but I am working on an open source solution that supports the same scenario. Sadly I have trouble getting this specific setup to work. Would you mind...
  18. Another Charging Software Issue

A PLC-enabled device on the home side, not the EV side. E.g. Porsche Home Energy Manager, any PLC-Modem to connect it to your local network etc. Not deleting the device record but the PLC network profile. You can connect multiple PLC devices to create one network by using power lines, e.g. if...
  19. Another Charging Software Issue

I have a small addition to this old thread: I wrote a software tool that fixes the PLC error without the need to disable PLC in the PMCC. Meaning this fixes why the error message and problem appears in the first place. The problem comes up if you or the Porsche dealership activates PLC and uses...
  20. Porsche Mobile Charger Plus with PLC Adapter

As I said, PLC is possible to connect to your home network, but NOT to the EV. You can easily check this also by connecting the PMC+ to your home network, then logging in as an Tech User and navigate to the connections menu. The PMCC has a menu item called "PLC connection to the vehicle" and...
