Hi,
I just got my car back from service today (again!) and noticed that this part, the "liner" in the front trunk, is damaged- one of the pieces that snap into the side is broken. I can't seem to locate it here...
:( thanks for the update. That's too bad, but TBH, that noise is annoying but not as annoying as the rattles-- I can mostly ignore the AC noise because it's so low, but the rattles I have on city streets are ridiculous.
Ugh, that's too bad. Thank you for the update-- I am going back to service for this in a couple of weeks-- I pushed my appointment because I needed a break to try and enjoy the car :) Thanks again.
Picking this up again; is there an actual "touchless" automated car wash in San Francisco? No brushes, just water, and soap. The only one I can find is https://www.touchfreewash.com/ which is in San Bruno-- a little far for me. Thanks!
Please let me know if you are able to get it fixed-- I'm not due back at the service center for about a week, so would be interested to know how they fixed it they do. And, yes, mine is only on the driver's side door and not every time-- maybe 50% of the time. Thanks!
I have this issue! I brought it to the dealership and they said it was software and was fixed by the recall update-- it was not :( Have to bring it in again. I know we're early adopters and these are growing pains but I'm really getting tired of my monthly visit to the service center.
Hey there! I'm also vegan for several years and ordered the Race-Tex (black) w/o seeing it in person first. I'll admit that I was a little concerned at first, but it's fantastic. It does not feel or look cheap at all; it's hard to describe, but it looks sporty and elegant, without being too much...
I'm surprised that you and others are not experiencing the same PCM issues that I see on a regular basis-- aside from just being slow (UI) compared to the Macan, for example. Here's what I experience on a very regular basis:
- Can't login (automatically) with my profile even though I didn't...
I'm in Northern California/Bay Area. So far, they have only stuck some felt in the same areas that your post shows. I've asked them (today) to try to remove the felt and provide a permanent, non-visible solution if possible. We'll see what they are able to do- I will update when I get my car back.
I dropped off my Taycan to service today for the recall update (which they told me could take several days), and for rattles, again. Everything rattles- both front doors, the instrument cluster, the seats-- it's ridiculous. Yes, the foam stuffing works to some degree, but should we have to do...
Got it. Update: your new fixes solved my remaining driver’s side noise- THANK YOU! Was driving me nuts. I think it was the seat. What do you have for the instrument cluster rattle? ? Half joking- I only hear those rattles on rough roads in Sport or Sport Plus for the most part.
Thank you for this. Just to confirm, you have applied all of these fixes (foam) yourself, and are not asking the service folks/dealership to do anything more? I have another appointment scheduled for the recall, and they're supposed to look at the remaining rattles as well. They're talking about...
My local service center basically applied these fixes to my Taycan 4S, using felt instead of foam, and for the most part, it works. My question is, is this an acceptable long-term/permanent solution/repair for such an expensive car? I have visible felt (black) on my both front doors-- I'm not...
Service was able to get rid of most of my rattles (front passenger door, instrument panel kinda) but I have one left; it's more of a very faint clicking sound that seems to be coming from the front driver's side door. I tried all of the foam/felt remedies I could find on the forum-- nothing...
