I, too, was annoyed coming from a Model 3. Pushing down the Taycan accelerator seemed sluggish in Normal, what I've been referring to playfully as 'turbo lag'. After discovering this didn't happen in Sport and Sport Plus I'm constantly switching to the latter every time I get it to drive.

Yep. 220 (50A, 9.6kW) is, IMO, all most folks need for home charging. Plug-in in the evening and have the vehicle ready by morning.

It's a difference of 2-3 MPH at 110 and 29-30 MPH at 220.

Yes, putting you foot under the car and pulling it back is my understanding of the 'proper' method. I have found it to be a little finicky. It has tried to close on me twice while un/loading groceries. :(

It's supposed to lock itself when you get too far away. I'm not entirely sure if this feature works yet though. Haven't really tested it.

Yes, that is correct. The awesome tech which allows some lights to point in different directions is disabled in the US due to regulation. I think it's a moronic regulation. The reason I have the upgraded lights is due to them being included in the US package, as mentioned by others above.

@Arno this is not model specific. It's related to the power charge port door. With that option, the side air vent is closed off. Since this is a standard option on the Turbo S, you can't change it, but on the 4S (like mine) and the Turbo it will be closed if the feature is ordered.

Had I been more interested in driving the Taycan on a track maybe I would have upgraded the brakes. And with regen I don't see the rotor getting as much wear-n-tear other vehicles do. Anyone purchasing a more expensive part today must understand that it'll be a more expensive part to replace...

What are "standard dealer shenanigans"? You're going to have to sign paperwork somewhere, regardless of where you pick up the car. My pick up experience at the dealer was great.
