Stop reading Car and Driver test results. The Taycan 4S is faster than a Panamera Turbo in the real world, I say so from experience.
The Panamera 4S eHybrid is an actual boat and the exhaust noise frankly sucks on the V6 Panameras, there is nothing sporty about that car. The turbo V8 Panameras...
The Taycan is simply worlds better than the Panamera unless you either need slightly more cargo space or aren't prepared for the charging/EV aspect.
In terms of the car itself it's not even close. The Taycan handles worlds better, has a nicer interior, is faster in the real world, more...
So out of curiosity I got some trade in quotes from dealerships. My car has 3k miles, 4S.
The best was $24k less than MSRP, the worst was $39k less than MSRP.
Given the $7,500 tax rebate applies only to new cars, I would really think of it as $16,500 off MSRP.
That's not terrible, especially...
I doubt they will correct it. I'm sure there's a disclaimer somewhere that the configurator is just an estimate and doesn't guarantee anything. The seat option itself doesn't specify that it will be the same design in the rear.
Maybe push for a small credit or something?
After November 12th. ... :CWL:
Impossible to say with any accuracy. It's usually 2-6 weeks after production but these are strange times and who knows. I'd say plan on it being a Christmas present.
I do admit that I miss the engine sounds at times and wish there was a better option than the Jetsons electric sound. I realize that it's close to the Formula E sound but it's, well, bad. Let's be honest.. if it was a well replicated but completely fake NA Flat Six sound.. I'd use it. :CWL...
One thing that can't be understated is how badass the Taycan looks in the dark/with lights on. I don't love the lightbar implementation on the Cayenne or Macan but it's super aggressive & cool on the Taycan (and 992). Same with the headlights.
20" Pilot Sport 4 Summer tires. I've seen other data from people with 21" tires and I don't think you lose that much range, maybe add 1 to 2 kWh/100 or a 3-6% range loss vs 20".
I get 34 or 35 kWh/100 miles at cruise control locked 84 mph or a little over 250 miles. That drops to 32 or 33 at 74 mph but the car seems most efficient right at 60. It blows away most other (maybe all other) EVs at 80+ mph efficiency.
Thanks for trip post OP!! I agree that the Nav range...
I have an occasional rattle from the passenger side. Pretty sure it's both the passenger door speaker & the passenger seatbelt adjuster. Both are intermittent and haven't felt the need to take it in yet. I will probably have them fix them when I swap on the winter tires.
