Another clue here is that the car was serviced by Circle Porsche in Long Beach back in September, which is just 10 miles from the Porsche Experience Center in L.A. I'm fairly certain this was a PEC based on all the evidence here.
Per your request, I took a couple of screenshots for you. Sorry for the quality. I was facing the sun. By default, Apple Maps shows you a 3D view like the first image. When you approach an intersection, it gradually moves to an overhead view by the time you reach the intersection... see second...
Any amount of recuperation is worthwhile, and not just for range purposes. It also reduces wear on your brakes and makes them last longer. There is no reason not to use regenerative braking. To me the only real choice is whether you prefer to use it only when actively braking or also when you...
I have not seen your second question answered anywhere, so thought I would weigh in even through this thread is aging.
I bought the Porsche Wall Charger (80 amp) with the upgraded 19.2kW on-board charger on my car, so I can take full advantage of the 80 amp rate. As others have noted, the 80...
Since others in this thread complained about the accuracy of Apple Maps state-of-charge data, I wanted to test it out for myself. I did some testing over the weekend and my experience so far is quite positive, though I haven't needed to travel far enough to actually need to charge. In other...
I'd be interested in the outcome at EVGo to see if there is a difference. Humble request from me to please report back on your experience with EVGo. I've mostly charged at EA simply because it's free, but I charged once at EVGo. It was a great experience. I would even consider paying to avoid EA...
Not a tech company... they make great cars, though.
To answer your question, the search in the Porsche app does NOT included non-EA chargers (or at least it won't show any whenever I've tried it), but the nav will include non-EA chargers. So it is clearly not the same search function. I would...
Personally, I like being able to use other apps, which are arguably better at what they do, such as Spotify, Google Maps, and ABRP vs being stuck with whatever the car comes with. In my case, the in-car systems screw up often. I once entered an address for a commercial location and ended up in a...
I received a notice from Porsche North America this morning that Apple Maps EV Routing is now supported. I thought it might be useful to summarize the pros and cons with the three live-data routing options available in the N.A. market for those in the Apple ecosystem. I'd be interested to hear...
My Taycan has the 22.2 kW AC charger (only good for 19.2 in North America), so I opted for the Porsche Wall Charger for my EVSE. It delivers 19.2 kW to the car on a 100 amp circuit (240 volts at 80 amps). Complete overkill, but charges the car most nights in less than 2 hours. If you want the...
I had this error yesterday, first in the AC-only port on the driver's side. I have the power charging port covers. The door would not open and the error message posted whenever the car was powered on. I tried powering off, locking the car, and letting it sit 30 minutes as other have done, but...
And for those that now own the "nerfed" 4.8kW charger (post software update) in North America, this represents a 140% improvement.
"Nerfed" equipment = 20 amps x 240 volts = 4.8 kW
vs. your suggestion = 48 amps x 240 volts = 11.52 kW
That would cut charging times by ~58%
I own both the Vgate vLinker MC+ and the OBDLinkCX. I have never been able to get the Vgate to work with ABRP and Taycan, even though I can get other apps working with it. The OBDLinkCX (model CX101) works for me, so you might try that one. Perhaps the Vgate products won't work with the Taycan...
For those interested in a dongle on iOS, I just got the ODBLink CX to work with iOS as well. As @Xsquid indicates, you need to make sure that in Settings > Security > Bluetooth the slider for ABRP is on.
I have not been successful connecting ABRP to the vLinker MC+, which would have been...
Are you using Android or iOS?
I am using iOS with the Vgate vLinker MC+ (which is on that list) and the device won't even show up in ABRP. I can link to the device with other diagnotics apps, so part of my issue seems specific to ABRP.
I saw the numbers somewhere a long time ago... it's more like 1-2% range loss against the same size wheels UNLESS you are comparing against 19 inch wheels. The bigger impact is the wheel size, not Mission-E specific. Even the 21 inch carbon fibre aeroblade wheels are less efficient than the...
Thank you... needs to be BLE dongle though. Unfortunately, the brand mentioned in that thread produces models that are all USB or WiFi connected diagnostic tools. They cannot work with ABRP (which requires BLE).
