I thought this too but it’s the convenience of getting it done before collection.

I had Gtech on a 488 a few years back… lasted the 3 years I had the car. I’ve also chose to have it for my Taycan due in March (by the dealer before collection).

Very basic updates here in the UK… the next update after this is to say the vehicle is built.

Mine too progressed to phase 3 (this morning). I'm going to sit tight and wait to hear from the dealer. Either way I guess it's progress of some form or another and promising for early March (23).

Today i've entered phase 3 in the myporsche app... not entirely sure what this means as I already know it's scheduled for production end of Jan. Does it mean my spec is locked in and everything is available? No idea... I guess I sit tight and wait to hear from the dealer.

With the Bose issue and the fact we’re talking March delivery cars I reckon some dealers don’t want to risk delivery to customers in this financial year… and avoiding Bose where they can, unless the customer digs their heals in… maybe? Or… to avoid customers cancelling give them a glimmer of...

Do you mean you’ve been able to lock in with Bose?

It’ll be interesting to hear everyone’s feedback on the base stereo when we all take delivery… and reflect back on this thread. No two ways about it… if it were available I would have spec’d it! But its not going to impact the enjoyment of owning this amazing car (my first Porsche).

You’ve got to take it for sure!… but I’m in the opinion that the base stereo isn’t that bad.

In my experience (I have similar size wrists) I would wait for a Sub or a GMT. The Sea-Dweller was too big and just didn’t feel or look right. That said go down have a try on see how it feels.

I’m surprised how many don’t like the ORDP… personally I think it looks great and makes the car look more aggressive.

I can deal with the Bose missing but not the pano roof… I locked in a couple of weeks ago for a CT4S March delivery, I was told no Bose but no mention of the roof… anyone else being told no roof?

I got my allocation for a February build last week and was advised no Bose (or Burmester). I did the same thing listened to both and I’m happy with the base system… now I’m only £1000 over budget ?

Feels real now!... this morning i've an email from the factory confirming order. Logged into MyPorsche and there it is. Time to book in at the PEC.
