Great point! It's a small/minor detail and I was thinking the ambient lighting against a black background will appear more distinct.
With the light interior, more light is reflected indeed (vs. absorbed) and will have a more dispersed look. Still very curious to see how it looks at night.
That chameleon-like color shift is very intriguing. I've seen the gentian blue many times and every time it's different. Sometimes it's just stunning and other times bland. When it's great, it's spectacular but when it's dull moments are similarly pronounced.
