yes definitely manual brake failure with fluid gone
there is no emergency brakes, just regen which would do very little at 70mph
Porsche need to establish if this is a design issue ( rubbing of a pipe etc) or component failure very quickly imo as brakes should not fail on modern cars this new
what part of “brake fluid empty all over the floor” are you not understanding ?
the car has no brakes other than the regen - it could not be driven, not even onto the recovery trailer
something has failed big time and completely without warning - that’s the kind of thing that gets people killed
pedal to the floor - brake fluid gone ( all over the floor). This is a complete brake failure
it couldn’t even be driven onto recovery as could not stop or be held on brake when deck tilted
this is a serious and potentially fatal problem
i would not drive a Taycan until the cause / reason...
lucky speed was slow so rolled to a stop - moments earlier it had been doing 70mph on a busy a38 at peak time !
assist recovered …………. but dealer not taking the potential consequences of this seriously, my family could have been killed yesterdays and if this is a design or component issue many...
my22 taycan turbo - 66k miles
My wife was driving back from school yesterday with our 2 children and experienced complete brake failure - pedal to the floor / zero ability to stop !
lucky no accident (miraculously!)
Car recovered to Sutton OPC where i was initially told would be end of June...
not at all surprised about the tyres, would of course get them from other suppliers
little choice on service if you want the right stamp in the book - resale suicide not to have opc service history
it’s kind of blackmail really
Car needs a 4 wheel alignment………… wait for it ………….. £720
utter pee take, it’s having the windscreen replaced due to a stone chip / crack, they say the alignment is part of that replacement as well as sensor calibration
this surely is nonsense ?
anyone want to buy a 1 year old Taycan turbo...
when they clearly had to start making up stuff to do on cars that require very little servicIng it seems !
today I’m told they change brake fluid in the price …… despite my service documen saying that’s a 2 yr job (car is 13 months old) and the fact it’s still on its first set of pads...
ive actually got a copy of what’s done from a friend (Porsche document) promised not to share it though as it may cause him trouble
Suffice say the only thing beyond the VERY basic inspection / report of things like brakes, suspension, tyre, wiper blades condition done as dealers quote is to...
Also 4 tyres worn to cord on inner edges, alignment clearly out from new
they want average of over £500 per tyre (I can buy same for just over £200) plus £720 for a alignment !
ridiculous prices
So first post here
Took my Taycan turbo in for software update today, it’s 500 miles from 1st service apparently ……. £825
anyone know what gets done for £825 ?
Sounds utterly ridiculous to me, wtf can you service on a ev ?
