Geez.....I live in Atlanta, have State Farm,, full coverage, a perfect driving record and no tickets accidents or claims on a 2013 Boxster S that is lucky to be worth 40k to 45k. you must have a $20,000 deductible!!! :CWL::CWL: But seriously, your 2017 Turbo S 911 is worth around...
I know its way too early to speculate.....but I am speculating that the fire started from the charger connections in the house. There were a couple of "garage" fires for Tesla highly publicized in 2013 and 2014, all which turned out to be caused by improperly installed chargers. It simple...
So does the vehicle, in this case the Taycan, know what you are plugged into, especially in homes, whether a 120v plug or a Dryer plug with 40 amps or 60 amps? how is this controlled so that the vehicle doesn't attempt to use too much amperage and trip breakers or cause potential fire...
In the USA, you probably should always have the 3 prong adapter and a 4 prong adapter. Homes built before 2000, tend to have the 3 prong, and those after 2000 have the 4 prong. To me any EV user going to visit relatives or friends should have this, together with a a 30 to 50ft extension...
I always assumed wireless charging was inefficient and MUCH slower, but.......read this article

There is a company called Plugless, that according to their website is 12% less efficient than a similarly wired...
So if I am reading this correctly, for your 3826 trip, the Taycan has averaged 2,217 miles per kWh ? So it has averaged 185.6 mile range for 83.7 useable part of the battery.......... Am I calculating this correctly?
Well, I think the point is that the Tesla range at high speeds is 191km less than the EPA range, whereas the Taycan is only 9km less than EPA estimates. So there is very little reduction in the range with the Taycan but HUGE reduction in the Tesla. And you are right, the efficiency is...
Test Drove a Taycan Turbo:
On Saturday I did a short test drive of the Taycan Turbo. The dealership literally only allotted 30 minutes per potential buyer by appointment only as there were so many people wanting to test drive the Taycan. I normally don't use foul language and as an atheist...
My Atlanta dealer finally called to say they had a black turbo. I drove to the dealer and the Taycan was nowhere to be seen. I counted 15 black Macans in the front lot and a few black and white Panameras and Carreras. Almost NO colors on any vehicles! Went by a second time yesterday...
I wish he would have written more details about finding charging stations. What kind of range did he get? Any mechanical issues? Did he plan trip around locations of charging stations, or did he have to drive detours to find superchargers?
No showers???? Camping in car...
Hopefully someone will test this with the Taycan, obviously someone with AAA or a tow truck. :CWL::CWL::CWL:
German and Japanese ICE vehicles always have run at least 10-30 miles beyond "empty." Many many years ago I drove a friends Ford, and the minute it hit empty, I was stuck on the side...
This is obviously a personal question and in most countries, it is not appropriate to discuss income. Having said that, looking at the responses so far, it reflects the level of enthusiasm people can have for a car. Depending on where you live, 30 to 60% of income can be eaten up by...
I have seen the Carmine red on Panamera and Carrera. Amazing color. also unique, which is something I am looking for, as I consider this a unique car. But I am leaning toward Frozen Blue though, but will not place my order until I actually can drive the vehicle and see the colors on...
In the 1990s, I had an Acura NSX, and replaced the front spoiler 3 times. Once when I lent the car to my elderly father who promptly hit first curb hard while angle
