Was about to read a recent article in the FT: https://www.ft.com/content/b081a885-8187-4e5e-a8cc-9f8db716a694
But what immediately caught my eye was the state of the GM assembly line pictured. All the dirt, grease and uneven floor surfaces.
Compared to the Taycan and 911 assembly lines at...
Here is a good example of Night Vision Assist doing its thing on a current road trip we're on in Northern Sweden. This is on our 911 but the technology is identical to the same option we had on our the Taycan.

About to get started on our latest – and first non EV – arctic adventure. We've been looking forward to this one for a while, taking in new routes, destinations and landmarks.

Depends on your definition of "best". If warranty coverage or low hassle with Porsche (and depending on you location Porsche Centres attitude) the official Porsche Dashcam can be "the best".
It certainly isn't from a technical perspective, but it will raise no issues should an electrical issue...
My 992 Targa had its first service this week at 28,500 km (and also in prep for its first arctic Sweden trip).
Was pleased to see light brake wear after being so used to re-gen on Taycan. Given at least 2,000 km of this car was on German autobahn, I'm impressed. If it continues I'll be swopping...
In 2022 Porsche said they sold twice as many Taycan's a year as they estimated they would when they green-lit the project.
And while they probably thought this trend would continue, if the market falls back to 20,000 Taycan's a year they can do okay with it.
The Taycan factory is also very...
When I ordered two Taycan's from factory – the only Porsche's I've owned that had passenger display as an available option – I selected it.
My use case for it is very purposeful: we drive long road trips, usually in foreign countries, in places we've never been before. The passenger display...
Had a chance to sit in a Cayenne EV today and have a play with the PCM. I am only familiar with the PCM in the J1.1 Taycan and the current 911.
Some random observations:
While the curved screen is a unique looking thing, the size (the width of it) of passenger display was the most striking...
Hi all — a few of you have reached out asking whether we’d continue our road-trip reports now that we’re no longer travelling in the Taycan.
Targa Trips isn’t EV-focused, but the spirit is very much the same: long European drives, detailed routes, full format photography, and honest trip...
My only time was 20+ years ago heading down a steep Swiss mountain pass in a diesel Volvo S40. It was genuinely scary. Foot to the floor on the brake pedal, little to no stopping/slowing down power. And it happened so suddenly. Thankfully nothing was in front of us at the time, as I'm pretty...
Agreed. When I ordered my first Taycan 4S, I added PSCB brakes to it. Mostly due to this informative video:
They seemed like a good "middle" option between iron discs and the insanely expensive carbon ceramics.
However, while I knew they were much more expensive than iron to replace, I...
