Hi all - A few weeks ago, I decided to move from my 2020 T4S to a pretty loaded 2025 T4S. I bought the 2020 new and put about 45k miles on it, including several longish roadtrips from Boston to Durham and Boston to Montreal and Quebec City. All in all I really enjoyed my 2020. Aside from the...
this is a good tool to find what cars are available in your area (or nationwide if you want). I have had success shopping among dealers for cars with similar specs all via email and phone.

I installed a clipper creek outside in a costal area in the Boston area in 2020 and it’s been rock solid. It’s under an overhang so has some protection but it’s been great in a difficult environment. Nothing fancy - no internet connection or app - just turns on when plugged into the car...
Curious what people are seeing for 2025 inventory discounts. I’m considering a 2025 inventory 4s that’s close to the config I’m looking for and debating whether to go for that ‘25 4s or order a custom build for a ‘26, waiting out the tariff chaos a bit assuming the 25% tariff eventually is...
Yeah, the Taycan prices (and Porsche prices in general) have really ballooned. Porsche is going to sell a lot fewer cars for a while.
I'm nervous about quality too. The first Macon EV loaner they gave me had a broken charging port door. The car had 0 miles on it, had just gotten its...
Thanks all! Here's what I think is my final build. https://porsche-code.com/PSHJC6S0
In typical fashion, I added more than I removed but so be it lol.
- I decided to add deviated stitching with chalk, despite it being higher priced than it seems like it should be. It looks great.
- I...
I'm reconsidering two options and would love to hear people's experiences with this, particularly for 2025.
1. InnoDrive vs just ACC. For 2025 this option is required to get ALK too. I had initially decided to just include this but threads on InnoDrive have been mixed at best. I have ALK in...
It seems then like the "standard Matrix" option is special for the US since the US regulations do not allow individual matrix control (unfortunately). So Porsche seems to have created an old fashioned single light "standard" offering out of the probably very nice standard matrix global lights.
Thanks - I really like the deviated stitching look but was having a hard time getting into spending almost $4k for someone to change the stitching spool lol. It's kind of crazy it's this much, especially when full leather is "only" a little over $4k.
@SergeyIndy and @W1NGE Thanks for all the input on the lights. I emailed the dealer and then spoke with them and here's what they say about the options for the 2025:
That is correct if you upgrade to the HD-Matrix Design LED Headlights you will get PDLS, auto high beams, and cornering lights...
Thanks!
Based on the comments here I'll have to think about the thicker glass a little more, but this is probably a pass for me. Derek posted how frustrated he was with the thermal / noise isolating glass a while back sharing that his radar detector doesn't work (except in the marked area)...
Thanks! I would love to add NVA but I'm just a rock magnet. My windshield has too many dings and the front hood has some dings. I would just be asking for trouble unfortunately. The clever Porsche engineer who put it 8" off the road surface right in front has never driven around Boston lol...
Thank you!
Our pothole filled roads and constant construction have me reluctantly going with the 20s. As it is I keep tires as 40psi and still have had tire damage (but so far at least no flats). The 21s look awesome but I’ll just get a flat the way i drive with our crazy roads.
The mirror...
I think I have all the software updates, including the battery check. I have a 2020 4s and ChargePoint home flex (since March 2024) and have not seen a change. It is hardwired for 60A and I’m getting 11kw. My home 240 is more like 210-220. The car is reporting a little over 10.
Hi All!
I've had a 2020 4S since Sept 2020 and have really enjoyed it, putting just over 40k very fun miles on it. But the problems have mounted and now the main wiring harness has failed so the car's in having major surgery to replace that (under warranty fortunately).
I'm thinking it's time...
Thanks! My breaker is 60A and the wiring is 6 AWG so the charger is set to 80% of 60A or 48A. I had thought I'd get most of the 48A but Dave's input is that while my 45.7A is a curiosity it isn't anything to be concerned about (and not really "low" enough to matter).
