You're in the UK, too. With our tight roads and car parks, it'll really be a huge advantage given the length of the car. It also (according to my SA) improves the overall handling of the car.
I'm sure the car is totally fine without it, but I'd highly recommend speccing it.

It's Jet Black Metallic, it literally states the colour at the start of the video.
Any hints of purple or other colours is likely down to lighting and / or the colour balance of the camera used to film.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but aren’t all insurance companies the same in this regard? They’ll look to pay out the lowest possible and claim it’s “current market rate”. We have gap insurance to cover the difference.
Options for;
- Digital rear-view mirror (works great on the Range Rover)
- Cameras instead of wing mirrors (see Honda-E). Helps with aero and just looks slick / modern!
Colour questions are always difficult as everyone’s screen is calibrated slightly differently, and point of references differ.
You’re best off going into a dealership and looking at colour swatches, or better still, seeing if they have a car in Neptune Blue.

You’ll likely qualify for 50% VAT, but only if you are leasing the vehicle. If you’re paying via PCP / HP or cash, you won’t qualify to get back the VAT.
Model delete is a good option, too. I've done that to my previous cars. However, with the Taycan, I feel it looks slightly too empty. It does look nice and clean, though.
