I've stopped pressing park actually, the power button puts it into park anyway (and if there's and incline I've likely engaged Hold with the brake).

As others have said, it's because the car is expecting charge but the charger is essentially 'off' until the timer. You can either set the timer on the PCM/app instead, or if you don't want the charger live when you're not home and it's timer means it stays locked until then (like our Andersen...

Yeah, as others said and according to my dealer (collected today!) there's been a massive delivery of allocation of new cars for the UK for year end, and they've all dropped at once - so loads of trade ins. The wait for new is still 18 months, so the trade ins will sell through fast enough.
