Not needed is my personal view, as I don't have it and I don't feel I'm missing anything. I have not yet been in a situation where the default turning radius had caused me some frustration (10000 km driven). However if driving the alternative and making the comparison, my view probably would...
Regen when not pressing the accelerator is optional. Regen when pressing the break is not optional. It requires a heavy pressing to go to the mechanical break. Which should work in case there is an issue like this.
Concerning issue nonetheless.
First time I'm hearing of something like this. This is more dangerous than the 12V issue. If I'm doing a tight overtake on a 2-lane road and this happens - it may be the last overtake I ever do. Of course would have to be incredibly unlucky for it to happen just in the wrong second especially as...
Wow. I've seen multiple users here with multiple issues but I think this wins the race. I would be very disappointed and probably quite pissed if I had that level of issues.
Have to count myself in the lucky department, as I've literally had almost none of those issues. Or any other issues. I...
Time for a quick recap on my recent lapland roadtrip! I apologize for not making any updates on the go. I simply did not have the time. I was enjoying the trip with my family.
We went all the way to Tromso in Norway and the total length of the trip was 2540 km. All in all I have now driven...
I'm also wondering this. Is there a single occurrence of the issue outside North America? If not, the number one suspect for the issues are the differences in the NA electrical systems (which affects charging). Perhaps they did not test this properly at Porsche, it being a German manufacturer...
The only must have that I unfortunately don't have in my car is the acoustic & thermal protected glass. The car is slightly louder than my diesel car thanks to this mistake. And sunlight can occasionally feel quite hot (doesn't apply to the panoramic glass roof, seems to be protected by...
The speedometer of any car normally shows a higher speed than reality. In my Taycan I've measured it to be only 1 km/h, which is the lowest of any car I've owned to date.
At least in 80-100kmh speeds it's only 1 kmh. At higher speeds it may be more.
My measurement is not based on GPS but...
In my experience, most speed bumps go fine in normal mode, just remember to drive slowly. But the largest ones do require the lift mode. You'll get a feel for this.
I've never needed to drive over something diagonally.
Couple of notes. The time it takes for the lift to fully extend depends on...
Couple of comments on these points.
1. I recommend the 360 camera system. It's pretty good and easily an improvement on the parking aids of my previous cars. Rear camera is not brilliant yes, but I don't have any issues with it myself.
3. I personally don't get the obsession with off the line...
From the lower screen where you adjust temps, you can click the menu button to go to the air conditioning settings screen. It pops up in the upper screen and this is where you also set up diffused/focused air flows etc.
In that settings screen it has buttons to set the whole air conditioning...
Just have to note that the car must be unlocked in order to be able to release the charging plug. If you lock the car it also locks the charging port. This stood out in the OP where you said "locked the car and still no luck getting it out". I've run into this many times trying to press the...
Agree on the nav. I think it's usable for basic purposes but intelligent planning based on charging needs? FORGET ABOUT IT. It's a piece of crap.
I use Plugshare & Google Maps to first manually plan my routes, then I input whatever I've planned into the car nav. That way it's ok.
I was thinking about the same thing. No two trips are ever the exact same. You can only exactly compare the range of two cars driven on the same route in the same way at the same time.
But I believe that at the shop they could see the true status of the battery in any case.
Have to note that I...
Roadtrip begins today! Going for my first big roadtrip to the Finnish & Norwegian lapland. Will be 2500+ km. Starting the trip at 5135 km in the meter & at 100% charge.
This trip requires a bit of planning to execute. So far it's going well. Had a reserved charging spot at the first hotel and...
Don't know about #2 but the answer to #1 is that yes, you have to enable sport sound every time if you want it on. In the normal/sport modes. In sport plus it defaults to "on". And it'll remember that stuff as long as the car is on. When it shuts down it goes back to the defaults.
