I think what you are describing is reasonable in today’s used car market. Usually the banks know better than you and you cannot reliably make money at lease end but this market is crazy right now.
My wife had a 3 year old Navigator and I had a 2.5 year old MB E350 Cabriolet. Both on lease and...
I agree with this to a certain extent and I think there was an article listed in a previous thread that talked about it as well. Porsche too thinks that engaging regen when just lifting off the throttle is less efficient than coasting. Indeed, that is why it regen is off by default and you can...
Update: I just took it to my local Porsche dealer. They are ordering a new door panel under warranty and will replace the whole thing. They said it has to come from Germany and so I should give it at least a month but they will replace. Very happy with them so far!
Unfortunately I do feel a slight ripple. I’ll see what the car detail place says and also sent the picture to my Porsche dealer I bought the car from to see if they have any advice.
Poconos. You can track your own car there. It’s about 2 hours from NYC and there is an Electrify America at a Walmart about 25 miles from the track as you drive out there to top up and re-charge on the way back. I’m in northern NJ. I have not done this yet but a friend of mine did with his Audi...
I purchased a low mileage 2020 CPO TTS last month. I have never before loved a car this much, quirks and all. However, although I looked over the car and thought it was in perfect shape, I recently noticed that the driver’s side door panel has a wavy line in the leather just under the stitching...
Also, you probably know this already, but you also cannot really compare monthly payments. That is not an apples to apples comparison since the $7.5K Federal tax credit is applied against the purchase price in the lease scenario vs. you claiming the full amount on your tax return in the purchase...
What is the residual value at the end of three years in the lease option as a percentage of MSRP based on 10/12K miles per year? I find that if the residual value is less than 53%/54%, it’s not worth it to lease because so much is put into the capitalized cost that gets applied to the high...
Thanks. I’m actually not sure if there is PPF where that badge is. I don’t think so because the PPF receipt I got with the car said it’s full hood, fenders, mirrors, front bumper, rocker panels and door cups. But the ceramic is on the whole car and I doubt the dealer took off the badges for that...
I have a similar question. My CPO 2020 TTS I’ve had for the last month has the “Electric” badge in gloss black. While it has kind of grown on me I think I would still prefer it off. My biggest issue is that it’s a lot so close to the fin of the power charge port cover.
The car has full frontal...
There is a lot posted on this forum about the camera system so I apologize if I missed this but sometimes I see little camera icons to press for each of the individual camera angels and sometimes those camera icons turn to just dots. Many times as I’m backing up it flickers between the camera...
In case anyone interested I actually just came across this video, which does an excellent job illustrating how the rear axle steering works. He has cameras mounted to the rear and sides of the car to show the rear axle shift during steering (see starting at about 6:20).
I have a 13 year old middle schooler daughter who does not let me drive her to school in my Taycan because she does not like the attention at drop off from all of the boys when she gets out of the car. ?
Somehow I think that’s probably not the danger you were speaking of. ?
Thanks everyone. I have been able to transfer the Porsche Connect subscrription no problem and set up the Porsche Charging Service with a one year subscription. I did have to enter my credit card (which I understand I would have to do regardless for overages) but I have not had a chance to try a...
2020 Turbo S on Mission E’s. I just purchased it two weeks ago CPO with 3550 miles on it so only 120 of this is me but neither the first owner nor the dealer reset the trip data.
Thanks very much. I also figured out that if you log into My Porsche and select the “Charging at Home” service you can see the PMCC connected to your My Porsche account and display the charging history (including the length of charges and total kWh delivered). You can even generate a PDF report...
