If I heard him correctly, he referred to the Taycan as the Duracell car. LOL. Too funny.
Good video and hard to argue with his main points. All personal preference and what is important to you.
If you don’t like the colour, you could get a wrap that you do like. I am not a fan of the crayon colour, but saw a picture of one with wide blue stripes that looked stunning. It broke up the colour.
The Good to Know app suggests you need a booster that works with a LiFePO4 battery. I can’t seem to find one easily. My previous Genius one isn’t recommended. Here is the screenshot from the app:
For the 12v stand-alone jump start unit where you don’t have access to a plug, do you have a unit in mind? I keep searching and can’t find one that explicitly works with the lithium ion battery such as the one in the Taycan. I keep a battery booster in my car all the time now just in case...
My options were limited. I went with a 7.2 charger in my condo parking garage (still waiting for installation) - it hard to be hard wired. I will have a 14-50 receptacle installed at my parents’ house for visits there and use the PMCC. If I was in a house, I would have totally gone for the max.
I also noticed that the Porsche logo lights can be added afterwards. I assume there is basic lighting if you don’t have the option to begin with otherwise the description would have said so (hopefully).

Nice!! I have the Guards Red contrast stitching on my build. The MY2021 also has floor mats with matching stitching I was able to add. Based on this photo, I am going to love the result.
I think you need one that will specifically work with a USB-C connection. I don’t think that one does. You may want to confirm before purchasing. I found the following one on a previous thread about CarPlay...
Not sure what the best advice for you is , but calling around wouldn’t hurt. I was in a similar position. I put my deposit down in September 2019 and just got my official allocation in August 2020. Hopefully you don’t have to wait that long. Mine was also a Turbo S. I think they were...
One benefit of a hotspot in the car is for kids to connect a tablet that is Wifi only in the backseat. But yeah, agree that it isn’t a super useful feature as I could simply setup my phone as a hotspot. I can’t myself using it in the car even if it was active.
I thought that the Direct Charing button appeared if you had a charging profile active. The button would then allow you to override the profile and initiate charging right away. If no profile is active, it will charge right away to 100% anyway and thus no need for the button to appear.
Did you watch the video on this thread:

I found it very informative, although don’t have the car to test.
I went back and forth on this decision. I love the dash without it. I also like the idea of having the power meter on the HUD. Today I contacted my dealer and asked him to add the HUD to my order. Hope it is not locked down yet, be he seemed to think it should be OK. I made the decision as...
I am still torn about whether to add the HUD to my build. I ”finalized” my build for a 2021 on Wednesday and didn’t select it. I think the freeze date is in September for an October build. I REALLY wanted a HUD but don’t like what it does to the dash. I think it hides the beautiful instrument...
I don’t disagree but I still added it. The contrast stitching was the one MY2021 feature I really wanted. I didn’t end up adding the HUD as I like the look of the dash without it. I really wanted the functionality though and it was heartbreaking not to have a better implementation.
Since the...
