I always drive with the assistance systems off. I only activate them when I am in a situation where I feel they will be needed (heavy traffic, for example).
Interesting. I actually prefer the clean lines of the Taycan’s rear. I had considered waiting for the Audi but am happy with my choice. Although I do prefer the Taycan’s looks, the Audi is super nice as well. Can’t go wrong with either. Everyone has different tastes - makes the world a much...
I am finding my iPhone 12 on iOS 14.6 gets hot even when not charging. It didn’t do this before the update to 14.6.
I have also plugged in my phone to the ports in the console and it didn’t interrupt Apple CarPlay. Seamless transition to wired.
You can try putting the car in private mode, shutting down, locking it, walk away for at least 10 minutes, start back up again and disable private mode. That worked for me and was recommended by Porsche when I had an issue. It hasn’t seemed to work for many others though. Worth a shot though.
I don’t have the data package and I also have that. The four digits should be the last four digits of the VIN. I think this combo is how CarPlay works - it uses Bluetooth to establish the connection and then leverages WiFi for the actual data transfer. I also think this is the connection for...
I also have the PCCB painted black. You don’t get the same sense of size but I prefer the look of the white-black theme on my car. Yellow didn’t do it for me.
That sucks. Hopefully the dealer can sort it out. I do find my connectivity drops for a day or so and then returns. Not exactly the most stable setup. Good luck!
Agreed. I have recup on to mimic the driving the dynamics of a traditional ICE sports car. I find the Taycan does this very well, which is why the default is ON for Sports Plus. Not about range efficiency, it is about how the car behaves. I think this is why I found the transition from my...
The last time I had an issue, I was told to put my car in private mode, lock it, walk away for at least 10 minutes and then return. Take it off private mode and see if it connects. It worked for me. Might be worth a shot before you return to the dealer.
It works without the phone. It is pulling your playlists from your Apple Music account on the cloud. That is why you are seeing the same content.
I find that mine auto switches over to CarPlay but I can easily force it back using the music section of the PCM and the Apple Music app built in...
I always leave my car plugged in and it usually sits for 4 or 5 days between drives. I have never had a problem. However, that is not saying I won’t have an issue in the future. My car was updated with the software to fix the 12v issue before I picked it up.
