The handling of the CT is far superior to the ST. The Panamera handles like a front engined car, the taycan handles like a mid engined car, it also rides better.
The taycan is a much more fun car in the twisties, but bombing it down the motorway is what the Panamera was made for! You could just...
I’ve got an ST hybrid.
Absolutely love the car, looks good, fast, massive boot, decent range for commuting.
The only reason I’m changing to a Cross Turismo is the rules are changing regarding hybrid cars in central London.
I too think the Panamera is a more luxurious car than the Taycan, a bit...
I’ve ordered the “chalk” as I preferred the black seat backs and 2-tone on the doors, I would have preferred the whole back bench in the same colour but on balance the limestone was too beige for me…..happy to be labelled cheap by your wife ?
Agreed - but a taycan 4s is similarly priced to a base carrera.
But yes in the taycan range they need to justify the price differential, as your pretty much paying £40k for a pair of upgraded electric motors “4 vs turbo s”.
In the UK a base 992 carrera comes with extended leather…
I deliberated for a while but after spending time in both I went for the extended. It not just the feel, but also the smell that lifts the whole experience.
At this price point it should be standard (like the 992) however Porsche are...
Went down to Porsche Centre Mayfair today to test drive their Volcano Grey CT4S.
Biggest takeaway is - it drives the same as the saloon…surprise!
Rear axle steer is very noticeable around town, but personally I don’t think necessary.
4S power is fierce, but again I don’t think necessary around...
I would’ve preferred a Sport Turismo, however now the CT is here I don’t see the point in a Sport Turismo, the cars would be too similar.
Is a sport Turismo actually confirmed? Would make more sense to do a plastic arch delete option like a “touring package”.
I don’t have any of the Taycan, but I’ve had a volcano Macan loaner, and also test drove the Panamera in Volcano. On top of that a mum at my kids school has a volcano turbo….to me irl you don’t get that brown hue, that’s more of an agate grey. The configurator is misleading.
Took a quick detour to Porsche Centre Bournemouth and they had this stunning CT demonstrator.
Volcano looks so good on the CT, prefer it on the CT …in my opinion.
I’m aware of the calculator…but I was interested in any “real world” data.
The calculator states both 21” wheels perform the same but I think that’s doubtful given the design…
Now cars are being delivered does anybody have any real range data on the 21” CT design wheel??
this design was a grower on me but is now definitely my favourite! However in terms of aerodynamic it looks awful, and is obviously a 21 incher which is also detrimental.
The YouTube (gentian blue)...
