    taycan replacement

A good number of Bimmerpost forum members already have their i5s so may want to ask there. As far as the others go, I dropped my Lucid allocation as they didn't have a showroom or service center anywhere near me, Polestar was not on my list as I preferred others over it. Have you considered...

Recommendations for motion sickness in the backseat

If you have Sport Sound, turn it on while she is in there. For some people the acceleration with no audible cues (shifting of transmission, engine revs) can cause motion sickness. There was a big discussion on the iX boards on Bimmerpost, and turning on the electric noise helped 99% of people...

    Cayenne Vs Taycan

You really need to add the suspension upgrades to the Cayenne to get the best ride. I have a ‘20 E Hybrid with Air and PDCC and it rides pretty well. I have the performance pack on my Taycan, and it is far more smooth and a better ride overall. My Taycan is my daily, Cayenne is a road trip...

    Tesla Cybertruck’s 911 Gimmick

I think showing acceleration numbers on the website, per model, is just something the German manufacturers do. BMW does, so does Audi, however Lexus doesn't. It can also, at a quick glance, show there is a difference between electric motors, the number of said electric motors, and attainable...

New 2024 Taycan GTS Sport Turismo “Differential Lock Failure” Warning

Nearly 7,000 miles on my CT 4S (has the Performance Package) and have never seen this error. I would book it into the shop asap.

    I think I screwed up

Porsche Connect shows my Cayenne as being in Private mode constantly, it isn't. It has done it a few times with my Taycan as well. If your settings are not set to Private within the vehicle, that is an issue with Porsche Connect, best to just not worry about it as it is hit or miss when it...

How many wheels have you curbed?

Definitely not gloating. I hit something in a work zone in my Cayenne (21" RS Spyder wheels) that took a chunk out of the wheel and shredded the tire. I always purchase wheel and tire warranty now.

How many wheels have you curbed?

Zero on the Taycan, have the 21” CT Design wheels. It is 10 months old.

    Where to put the keys?

I keep mine in my purse, which generally sits on the passenger seat (unless my husband is there). I have a CT, and sometimes I throw my bag in the hatch, and have never had an issue with key detection. Long way to say it doesn’t seem to matter where they are in the vehicle, unless you get the...

Caution - Inspection BS - Dealership BS - Austin TX

Call and talk to the service manager, James is pretty responsive. They have never tried that with me, but since I tend to know more about my vehicles than the advisors maybe they know better?

    Poll

Bought mine outright. Plan on keeping for 6-8 years, which means I will be purchasing some sort of extended warranty. This is the current plan, unless I start having a lot of issues with the vehicle (not software related) and it causes less stress to just get something else.

    Replacement vehicle recommendations?

I had one on order, but took the Cayenne E Hybrid instead as it came in first and drove better. I am over on Bimmerpost, same username.

    Replacement vehicle recommendations?

That was the original plan, we were going to order a 2025 Cayenne S E Hybrid, however the issue with my current E Hybrid is the fuel injectors. Apparently it is common to need to replace them every 20,000 miles or so in a PHEV (this isn’t solely a Porsche problem, googling brought up any and...

    Replacement vehicle recommendations?

I am currently looking at replacing my Cayenne (maybe, it has been having some issues, currently in the shop for the past 2 weeks) and am going between an Audi RSQ8, an Audi RS6, and a BMW X5 M60i. Price points are higher on the Audis, but really looking to see if anyone has one of these...

Another Munro teardown video: Base Taycan

No, I would assume money would overcome the objection to name pronunciation. My kids have my married name, which is still German, but very easy to pronounce. Honestly, the funniest thing about having a hard to pronounce name is hearing others try to say it correctly. It is fairly common for...

Another Munro teardown video: Base Taycan

I will throw my two cents in on the pronunciation debate. Since it is the founders last name, there certainly is a correct way to pronounce it. As someone with a very German maiden name, one that only native German speakers (and my German teachers in high school) can pronounce correctly, I...

Recall (9/1/23): Insufficient Sealant Causing High-Voltage Battery Leak on 2023 Taycans APB2 (4,777 Units Affected)

It was this. My husband talked to the SA on the phone and got the info, after he spoke to the tech (he hadn't spoken to the tech before he told me he thought they may not have the kit yet).

Recall (9/1/23): Insufficient Sealant Causing High-Voltage Battery Leak on 2023 Taycans APB2 (4,777 Units Affected)

Got the email that my Taycan was ready for pickup, only to look at the invoice and see they didn't actually perform the leak test. According to my SA, they don't have the test kit, even though it was booked specifically for this and I was told that it would be around 5 hours to perform this...
