I have this same issue and my theory is it is related to my inability to get Plug and Charge working. Do you use the Charging NA app? If so, what does it say under your My Vehicles section in the hamburger menu?
Do you have Plug and Charge turned on in PCM? If so, you can try turning it off. If it's on then the car will try to do the fancy payment authentication automatically and then try to start the charge session automatically, which is where things error out for me. With Plug and Charge off, the...
It goes to whatever you set it to when in reverse mode. If you switch into reverse and then adjust it, it should tilt to that new position the next time you go into reverse.
What are the symptoms for you? I also had to call in twice now, out of 3 charging sessions I've attempted. But part of it is also me just getting used to the quirks of the system. One issue I had was that the very first time I tried to charge at EA, if I initiated the session from the Charging...
In my experience it works about 50% of the time. Usually what I do is if it doesn't work on the driver's door after 1 or 2 attempts, I just use the rear driver door and that usually will work (could be coincidence). If that still doesn't work I just walk away and use the keyfob :(
No need to have an EA account. You login to your Porsche account in the Charging NA app and it somehow has the necessary info to tell the EA station to start a charging session using your 3 free years plan.
I actually had the exact same issue and the exact same error when trying to use Plug and Charge (which has yet to work for me). After turning off Plug and Charge in the car and giving the station time to revert back to "default" state where it shows the plugs ready for use, I did the manual way...
I do have the Porsche Charging Service (Taycan) in my services, however I did notice a couple interesting things. The first is that the charging service contract appears to only be good for 1 year. All my other services are good for 3 years (the duration of my lease). I would have expected the...
Great instructions, thanks. I've found that in the Charging NA app, the My Vehicles section is empty and an error pops up when I go to it:
I've logged out and back in on both this app and the Connect app, to no avail. It's been like this since I took delivery a couple weeks ago. I'm able to...
I really hope someday we can get Carplay (and now Android Auto) on the instrument cluster. It's inconvenient having to look to the side and down to get navigation instructions. Obviously Porsche thinks this sort of design makes sense since the PCM nav uses both displays when navigating.
Homelink = Steering Wheel
Electric Sportsound = Instrument Cluster
Still subject to change though, I've only had the car 2 weeks. As I've started to listen to music in the car with Carplay I find it annoying to have to reach over to the PCM to skip tracks...
Wow, if true, then I would be very impressed and surprised, and my earlier comment about it driving like my 2018 Model S would be way off.
My friend is waiting for delivery on his, now I can't wait to ride/drive it.
You could probably sell the Model 3 for a ridiculous price right now, based on what I'm hearing. A coworker claims he sold his 2019 Model 3 with 20k miles to Carmax for the same price he bought it for. WTF?
My RWD is springs with 20" aero wheels, and I came from the Model S with air suspension. The ride is definitely not as pillowy as the S, but I feel like maybe you need to feel the road a bit in order to get the engaging driving experience?
I also can't compare to the air suspension on the RWD...
I've only tested it extremely briefly but I think TeslaTap's 30 seconds instruction is just being extra safe. When I plug in the adapter to the cable the light on the HPWC turns from solid green to solid blue within 5 seconds. According to the charger manual this means it is in J1772 mode, so I...
