Just wanted to get a feel for how many members this has happened to now.
PS: Apologies if I am using the forum incorrectly, but I think I can only ask one question at a time.
Agree @Perry but once you do that there is not a whole lot of difference between ACC and Innodrive?
But what good is getting suggestion at exactly the speed limit? Who drives exactly the speed limit?
I always drive 5% faster than the posted speed in Switzerland (speedometer lag + tolerance...
I went through this in the 2nd week of December. They replaced the charge controller (were able to get the part in three days and needed 1 day to install it. Car was gone for exactly 1 week.
Been problem free since then. I have about 24.000 km on it.
I have Innodrive and would not get it again. ACC is enough for me.
The problem I had is that the database (along with the camera that is reading signs) is not 100% accurate. I had one narrow uphill road to get to my mother’s house in Switzerland that is a very slow 40km/h (for good reason)...
So…. Similar to other posts in this thread I need a replacement. Problem is: when will it arrive? Ordered yesterday and could arrive Monday. Tuesday. Or maybe not at all in the short term due to shortages. The last part was not very reassuring.
I was also advised of what Porsche...
Just realized posted in the wrong place as not a fast charging issue…. Hope I am not in the shop for a month. Porsche did not call me on any updates yet. Probably not the best time to deal with this before Christmas :-(
Original message below.
I have now also has the red light of doom...
Yes my bad. I knew of the original post here shortly after it happened, but not that the Popular Mechanics story had also been posted. Anyway this thread can/should be shut down.
Unless you are breaking relatively hard, you might be on 100% regen and 0% brake pads. Which has gotten me used to a very un-Porsche like driving of braking early and not too strongLy.
When I was in Germany, I thought Auto-Regen was very effective automatically looking ahead whilst on the...

What I get about this post: Totally understandable that US owners are pissed off by this change. Porsche needs to refund them their money or provide an alternative to the PMCC so the charging experience is as initially advertised. In that sense I thought @daveo4EV post was too nice and should...
@KensingtonPark you go into the menu as follows:
Displays ==> Passenger monitor ==> Display in rest (sleep?) mode ==> Media (instead of vehicle name as the other option)
Sorry translating from German so might not have the right words in the English menu.
Well what I think is new (or was there all along and did not realize it) is that instead of Taycan just being displayed there when the passenger seat is empty, you can get song titles. So just the song title and a hint of the album cover art. I thought that was better than just Taycan.
Have had that happen twice. In both cases I was creeping along barely moving with foot on brake (once entering a roundabout and once checking a hard to see intersecting road for others cars) when I had to stop. Felt like I pushed the brake pedal to the floor.
It kind of felt like the car was...
