Yeah, this is my main concern. I dont think the plastic cladding from offroad package helps with this either. So I need to either mod the vent or go with the chargeport cover that blocks it for me
I still have time to change configuration on my CT4 and thinking I should add the chargeport cover. The functionality itself is OK for me, but since it blocks the air vents it should also help prevent rocks and debris on the road flying through it and hitting the sides of the car. Other options?
Hi,
I am picking up my CT4 from PEC LA in March and want to get ppf installed before driving it back home. Any recommendations on ppf installers in the area?
Thanks!
Thanks, this is good info. My ppf installer moved from Xpel to STEK and now exclusively does STEK. Looks like getting XPEL through Porsche configuration might be a good option then, assuming its a good installer
Has anyone done a PEC LA delivery and then shipped the car back home instead of driving it the distance? Trying to figure out if this could be an option for me. Thanks!
I am doing a PEC LA delivery and then drive the car back home approximately 1000 miles. I intend to get PPF and ceramic coating done but probably need to bring the car back first. That got me thinking is the PPF option that porsche gives on the configuration tool good enough?
Alright its a CT4 for me then! Thanks for all the feedback and recommendations. And to current owners of Taycan (all trims and models) huge thank you for also being the beta testers for the software, helping identify the bugs :)
I am probably missing some key feature here, but when I configure both the trims with options that I want the difference remains about 17+k between the two models. Any options you would recommend I look at? Thanks!
Reading the forum threads the majority votes are for CT4 over CT4S. However I am curios if the current CT4 owners regret not going for CT4S or vice versa CT4S owners think the added speed improvements are worth the approx. 18k USD price difference.
Reached out to a bunch of dealers and seems like Porsche of Bellevue, Washington has most confidence of getting an allocation in January. Everyone else is pretty much 6 months to 1 year time frame. Might as well just wait for January to see how the allocation numbers look before putting a...
Yes I saw this video. Here he says the 3 month allocation happened in November for November through February, so when dealers are saying they will have allocations coming in January, its for March onwards?
Thank you for all the responses. Looks like its par for the course! At this point I do wonder if I would actually get a MY2022 or its more likely to be MY 2023. One dealer mentioned that they are already booked for first 2 quarters of 2022 and will take a 2k deposit to get on the list for 3rd...
Thank you. So the deposit is essentially to lock an allocation when it becomes available or deposit is against an existing available allocation? Reading on the forum looks like dealers dont really know how many allocations they will get (per month?) so difficult to put a timeline on it.
