No, still at docks waiting for a battery.
The frustrating thing is that my dealer either has no knowledge of how long it will be sat there waiting or won't tell me. I've heard rumours of an 8 weeks delay for nearly all July builds (except for the few lucky builds that used the last few 12v...
Nearly all July deliveries where the car was build in last 3 weeks say this online but apparently its a placeholder 8 week delay. Might be sooner but Porsche don't seem to have sorted alternative supply yet. Clearly some cars will trickle through. Defo worth demanding more information.
I think you just missed the production week when he battery supply dried up. My car is being held in a compound pending the battery. Crazy actually because the wait is stated to be 8 weeks max on the dealer's system
Appreciate that we've got a few "delay" threads up and running. Very interested to hear what you've been told about the battery shortages. My car, as well as others are apparently being held in a compound in Germany until these batteries can be procured. Anyone in a similar boat? Affects cars...
A lot of cars will be held in Germany owing to a fire at the 12v battery factory. Anything built in last two weeks likely affected unless it’s already on a ship.
It’s global - it’s a common part. Won’t affect anything that wasn’t built last week or later. The 12v lithium battery factory caught fire apparently. Amazing.
I think all the dates are going to be pushed 8 weeks owing to the fire at the 12v battery plant. That's the UK position. Cars will be built sans 12v batteries and sit at the docks until fitted. That effects all cars build from last week.
The dealer doesn't think the two month hold is "real" - rather it is just a placeholder in the computer systems. His info is that 8 weeks is not at all a real delay and the real hold will be up to one month max.
They're defo halting production - now spoken to dealer. No 12v batteries. Expected one month delay for all unbuilt cars and cars going through production. Many cars will be bumped to 23 year.
dismal really.
I genuinely cannot believe you would consider spending such a large proportion of your income on car payments. It’s genuinely astonishing.
I would have thought people would hesitate before spending anymore than 10 percent of net income on a car.
Do people really spend this on salary sacrifice lease schemes? Surely just cheaper to buy? I pay WAY less than that per month using Porsche's own monthly PCP scheme. Crazy.
The EU’S sludgey decision-making processes has left it behind the curve on Ukraine. It’s just not fit for purpose. Not sure about PPE but it was also dismal on vaccines wasn’t it? God knows why this is still debated though. I’m Greek so have little skin in the game to be fair - cheers for the...
