Not necessary. But then again I also drive a F-350 with 8’ longbox. So this car is like handling a smart car in comparison.

Likewise, I always make sure I have winter tires.. as I travel north quite a bit. I have 20's on mine so just going to get a set of winter rubber mounted these rims and get a new set of rims for spring and put the current rubber on those. Definitely don't want to be without winter tires..
